1st Grade Poetry Day (ES) 1st graders demonstrated all their skills and talent when reciting poems by their favorite poets. Our eagles did an outstanding job during Poetry Day. Congratulations to their teachers for their hard work and guidance with this literacy activity.

2nd Grade STEAM Project 2ND grade Spanish class led by Spanish ¿ teacher Mrs. Carolina Matamoros, worked on a STEAM guided project to commemorate the Día del Idioma Español, and Don Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra’s, Don Quijote de la Mancha.

AST’s Musical Wonderland
Saturday and Sunday, Elementary school artists presented the musical ‘‘Wonderland’’. It was an amazing show full of music and a magnificent interpretation of the Alice in Wonderland novel by Charles Lutwidge (Lewis Carroll).
KUDOS to our students, teachers, Performing Arts Center staff, and Musical Directors Mrs. Michelle Schneider, Mrs. Natalie Findley, and Ms. Paola Callejas for this SPECTACULAR show!

Alumni Corner Karim Faraj (‘91) Alumnus Karim Faraj is a successful businessman that has achieved a lot throughout his life. Karim graduated AST in 1991. He went to the University of Texas at Austin where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, and later on earned his MBA. Karim has high-performing General Management skills with 23 years of Management experience. He is currently the General Manager of Cosmetica Internacional (COINSA), Medilab, Farmacéutica Internacional (FARINTER), and Director of the Chamber of Commerce of Tegucigalpa. Last week, AST’s DECA Club invited Karim as guest speaker to their luncheon where he addressed our students about business experiences and entrepreneurship. Karim is married to alumna Lori Flefil (’93) , with whom he has two eagles: Karim Alejandro (2022) and Andrea Sofía (2024). Congratulations for all your success Karim! You make us “EAGLE” proud! GO EAGLES!
