Pre-Kinder cAP day (ps) Pre-Kinder students brought a CAP to school to celebrate the letter ‘‘C’’. What a fun way to learn the alphabet!

Kinder PAJAMA day (ps) Kinder enjoyed last Friday a Pajama Day while learning the letter ‘‘P’’. Curious fact: Did you know that Footed Pajamas weren't always for kids. They actually started out as something designed for adults.

Elementary STUCO Senators Election (ES) Train Your Dragon 3. New senators from fourth grade elected this past Friday to be part of Mini Stuco. It was an incredible morning for our students! Make us proud. GO EAGLES!

Catholic college fair (hs) The first College and University visit of this school year started off with the Catholic College Fair. Stuco Social Responsibility For the past three years STUCO has adopted Hospital María, as part of its social responsibility outreach. Raul Lopez (STUCO President) and a team of STUCO leaders, volunteered in the annual Gatorade Run Marathon, and helped the competitors stay hydrated throughout the race. Our students and Mr. Corrales (STUCO Advisor) started their shifts at 4:30am Sunday. The early ‘‘bird’’ gets the worm. Congrats!

Cruz roja blood drive Cruz Roja HondureĂąa had its annual a Blood Drive at AST. Students +18, parents and staff donated blood to help la Cruz Roja in their blood banks.

Alumni Corner Maricruz aparicio (1988) Alumna Maria de la Cruz Aparicio is the Vocal I of the American School of Tegucigalpa Alumni Association (ASTAA). Maricruz earned her Bachelor Degree in Agricultural Sciences / Food and Resource Economics from the University of Florida, in Gainesville, Florida. She graduated with honors from her MBA program at the Catholic University of Honduras (Universidad Católica de Honduras), in Tegucigalpa. She was the former Secretary of the American School Alumni Association Board for the past four years, as well as Masters Professor for the Masters Curriculums Program in Managerial Leadership and SMB´s Programs, as well as Thesis Directors for MBAs programs for students and shortlists at Catholic University of Honduras. Her work experience includes being the lead Manager for the Deposits unit and Cross Border Remittances in BAC Honduras until 2016 where she moved in to the Central American Stock exchange – Securities Market as the General Manager. Maricruz has taken various courses and certifications and is well known in the financial world as a leader and an example to follow. Way to go Maricruz, you are a proud Eagle!
