We will be celebrating Dr. Seuss the week of February 29th – March 4th. Please refer to the class Google site for more information about the special activities which will take place during this week. On Thursday March 3rd, Dr. Angela Vidal, Physical Therapist, will present “Psychomotor Development in Pre School Children” at 12:00 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room. We hope to see you there. 3rd Quarter evaluations will begin March 3rd – 4th and continue March 7th – 11th. Please refer to the class google site for specific information on the areas to be evaluated. On March 7th – 9th, a team from AdvancED (School Accrediting Agency) will be in school evaluating all aspects of the school’s operations for the continued accreditation process. We are looking forward to the result of this year’s review process.
We will have a Lps.5.00 Colors Day on Friday, March 11th. If your child will wear color clothes, please remember to send in the Lps. 5.00. We will celebrate Easter on Thursday, March 17th. This will be a Free Colors Day for students. We will have Parent-Teacher Conferences on Friday, March 18th from 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Sign-up sheets for the conferences will be posted on Tuesday, March 15th. El 18 de marzo, tendremos las conferencias de Padres-Maestros a partir de las 7:30 a.m. hasta las 3:30 p.m El martes 15 de marzo estarán colocadas las hojas para poder anotarse. Thank you so much to Ms. Andrea Aguirre and Ashley Pederson, who carried out the Valentine’s mail project for our students this month. They encouraged proper address of envelopes. Those letters which were not addressed properly were “returned for incorrect mailing address”. Their interest paid off! Nice penmanship and correct labelling on the envelopes was much better than any other year. Thank you Ms. Nena Alvarado, Ms. Gaby Simón, Ms. Andrea Aguirre and Ms. Ashley Pederson, teachers and students for a lovely Great Kindness Assembly. Students performed, sang and danced to celebrate kindness. Miles for Smiles Final Mile is coming up on Thursday, March 17th. We encourage all Students to run the Final Mile. Let’s support Operation Smile, by running the final mile and help someone SMILE!

Su interés fue recompensado! Tuvimos una hermosa escritura y rotulado en los sobres mucho mejor que otros años. March is the month we celebrate the value of DISCIPLINE and the AST student attribute of being BALANCED. AST will host its re-accreditation visit from Advanced Ed in the first week of this month. The success of such an important event could have only been possible through the balanced team work from the members of AST community and the discipline and the hard work of every member of the AST family. Marzo es el mes en el que celebramos el valor de la disciplina y el atributo estudiantil de ser equilibrado. AST tendrá la visita de re-acreditación de AdvancED en la primera semana de este mes. El éxito de esta visita ha sido posible por del trabajo equilibrado y en equipo por los miembros de la comunidad AST y la disciplina y el trabajo arduo de todos los miembros de la familia AST.
