Hello April! PTO Bingo is next Friday April 5th, at 6pm on the Elementary covered courts. A ticket for your child will be sent home on Monday, April 1st. Attendance is voluntary, but great prizes await!! On Wednesday April 10, we will have a LATE START. PRE KINDER STUDENTS WILL NOT HAVE SCHOOL ON THIS DAY. Kinder students will begin school at 9:30am. Nursery students will have a regular school day. The Middle and High School Spring Concert will take place on Thursday April 11 at 6:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. We hope you can join us. Friday April 12th is a FREE Colors day. Students are encouraged to wear Easter colors clothes on this day. Easter Break will take place April 13-April 22nd. Classes resume on Tuesday April 23. We hope you have a wonderful Easter Break! Progress Reports will go home on Wednesday April 24 th. If your child receives one, please sign and return the next day. On Friday April 26th, the Chiminike museum will set up activities for the students in Pre Kinder and Kinder in honor of Earth Day. The cost will be Lps.60 per student. This will also be a Free Earth Day Colors Day. Students are encouraged to wear blue, white, green, and brown. We will have an Early Dismissal on Monday April 29. NURSERY STUDENTS WILL NOT HAVE SCHOOL ON THIS DAY. Kinder students will be dismissed at 12:20 pm. Pre-Kinder students will have a regular school day. We will not have school on Wednesday May 1st due to DĂa del Trabajo. Due to the hot weather, students may wear uniform Bermuda shorts or their P.E. shorts to school every day, until the end of the school day. Have a great month!
Bienvenidos al mes de abril! El Bingo del PTO se llevará a cabo el próximo viernes 5 de abril a las 6pm en las canchas techadas de Primaria. Los boletos para cada alumno se enviarán a casa el lunes 1ero de abril. La asistencia es voluntaria, pero habrán muchos fabulosos premios! Tendremos una entrada tarde el miércoles 10 de abril. LOS ALUMNOS DE PRE KINDER NO TENDRÁN CLASES EN ESTE DÍA. Los alumnos de Kinder comenzarán la escuela a las 9:30 a.m. Los alumnos de Nursery tendrán un día regular de clases. Este día también será un Colors Day gratis del Día de la Tierra. Los alumnos pueden usar azul, blanco, verde o café. El lunes 29 de abril tendremos una salida temprana. LOS ALUMNOS DE NURSERY NO TENDRÁN CLASES ESTE DÍA. Los alumnos de Kinder saldrán a las 12:20 p.m. Los estudiantes de Pre Kinder tendrán un día regular de clases. El miércoles 1 de mayo no habrán clases por el Día del Trabajo. Dadas las altas temperaturas los alumnos que así lo deseen, pueden usar sus bermudas del uniforme o sus shorts de P.E. todos los días hasta el final del año escolar. ¡Que tengan un excelente mes!
On Friday, March 22nd the Elementary students ran the Final Mile for the Operation Smile activity. It was a truly rewarding experience and the excitement was contagious. The different grade levels ran their last 3 laps, everyone cheered and celebrated success. Thank you to everyone who helped and sponsored this wonderful idea which is the 1st to be celebrated outside the U.S. We are very proud that we will be able to pay for some operations when the U.S. doctors come in May. MAP tests / TC Reading Assessment for Grades 3-4-5, begin on Tuesday 23rd. Check the teachers’ sites for the exact dates your child will be taking the tests. Have your child take a good night sleep and eat a healthy breakfast on these days. 4th quarter progress reports will be sent home on Wednesday April 24th. Please check your child’s homework folder for these reports and return them signed the following day. Good news, the Elementary Library now opens on Fridays from 7:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please stop by the Library. El día Viernes 22 de marzo, los alumnos de Primaria corrieron la Milla Final en la actividad de Operación Sonrisa. Fue una experiencia gratificante y la alegría fue contagiosa. Los diferentes grados corrieron las últimas 3 vueltas, las cuales celebraron con mucha alegría y éxito. Gracias a todos por el apoyo y patrocinio brindado a esta maravillosa idea que se celebra fuera de Estados Unidos. Nos sentimos muy orgullosos que se logrará pagar algunas de las operaciones que se realicen por los doctores norteamericanos en Mayo. Los exámenes de MAP (Matemáticas, Lenguaje y Lectura / TC Reading Assessment, para los grados de 3, 4 y 5 comienzan el martes 23 de abril. Favor revisar el Website de la Maestra(o) por los días que su hijo(a) estará tomando dichos exámenes. Les recomendamos que su hijo(a) duerma bien y que tome un desayuno saludable en estos días. Los reportes de progreso del cuarto parcial serán enviados el miércoles 24 de abril. Favor revise el folder de tarea de su hijo (a) para estos reportes y regresarlos firmados al día siguiente.
