Thoughtful Solutions for the Planet
Amcor’s DecoFusion™ tube can incorporate post-consumer recycled content and offers up to 27% weight savings compared to standard HDPE tubes due to the use of less material in the overall package. This move to more sustainable packaging, as compared to a standard tube with no PCR, is estimated to reduce around 167 metric tons of greenhouse emissions annually* – the equivalent of removing 39 gasolinepowered U.S. cars off the road for one year.**
When combined with an HDPE closure, DecoFusion™ offers a mono-material, all polyethylene construction. This supports the plastic tube recycling goal of optimizing materials and reducing contamination in the recycled HDPE mixed color post-consumer resin stream.
