LANDSCAPED COURTYARDS, AN OPEN-AIR THEATRE, AND PUBLIC PLAZAS EXTEND THE CINEMATIC JOURNEY OUTDOORS, CREATING A VIBRANT DESTINATION FOR EDUCATION, RECREATION, AND CULTURAL EXCHANGE WHILE PRESERVING AND SHOWCASING THE ART OF FILMMAKING FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS. THE FILM MUSEUM IS CONCEIVED AS A CULTURAL HUB CELEBRATING CINEMA’S ARTISTIC, TECHNICAL, AND HISTORICAL DIMENSIONS, WITH A SPECIAL FOCUS ON BENGAL’S RICH FILMMAKING TRADITION. LOCATED ON A 12-ACRE SITE IN ACTION AREA III, NEWTOWN, THE PROJECT WILL INTEGRATE EXHIBITION GALLERIES, INTERACTIVE DIGITAL ZONES, SCREENING THEATRES, WORKSHOPS, ARCHIVES, AND PUBLIC AMENITIES. THE DESIGN WILL FOLLOW A NARRATIVE JOURNEY, GUIDING VISITORS FROM THE ORIGINS OF CINEMA TO CONTEMPORARY INNOVATIONS.
