INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE + DESIGN

![]()

Growing up, my grandma Barbara filled my world with color, creativity, and compassion. She taught me to draw, paint, and create - but more importantly, to see others deeply and live with curiosity and joy. Her generosity and artistry shaped who I am and inspired my desire to design spaces that make people feel seen, inspired, and connected.
I believe creativity lives in everyone, and my work is my way of unlocking and sharing that truth. Design, to me, is more than aesthetics - it’s empathy made visible, a way to bring light and joy into people’s lives.

Project Concept:
Inspired by the idea of balance, Hinterland Retreat is a home shaped by the unique duality of Castle Valley, Utah - where the La Sal Mountains rise against the vast red rock desert.
Drawing from the concept of the hinterland - a threshold between worlds - the home is a retreat that balances natural beauty with intentional living. Sustainable strategies such as solar panels, passive cool tower, and natural materials root the structure within its environment.
Location: Castle Valley, Utah
Skills Used:
Autocad, Revit, Lumion, Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator

Hinterland’s main living space is embraced by vast windows designed to bring the outdoors in. A central passive cooling tower disperses cool, arid air throughout the home. Natural materials are paired with contemporary furnishings to create a fresh, inviting space.

Complementing the existing landscape of Castle Valley, the landscape design and exterior furnishings create outdoor living spaces that are in harmony with nature. Multiple outdoor areas, along with materials such as wood and stucco and custom planters, were designed to create a sense of balance.

Project Concept:
Klangjuwel, meaning “sound jewel” in Austrian, is a sensory-inclusive luxury flagship store in Vienna specializing in customizable sound-wave jewelry. Inspired by Vienna’s classical music heritage, the space transforms sound into tactile, multisensory experiences engaging sight, touch, and hearing.
Intuitive wayfinding uses high-contrast materials and tactile flooring to guide movement and mark destinations, ensuring a dignified experience for all abilities.
Location: Vienna, Austria
Skills Used:
Autocad, Revit, Lumion, Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator

Throughout the design process, I focused on key sensory-inclusive features for people who are blind or visually impaired.

The Wave Wall is a multi-sensory installation where customers can physically engage with each wave, turning touch into sound drawn from classical Viennese music. It creates a striking first impression as visitors enter Klangjuwel.

This ongoing collaborative project with Alexa Hampton, taking place from January 2026 through April 2026, involves working in a team of three to design a combined four-bedroom, five-bathroom residence at The Sutton House in Manhattan’s Sutton Place neighborhood.
Guided by Hampton’s classical design philosophy and the enduring legacy of Mark Hampton, the project explores neoclassical and Grand Tour influences through layered interiors, antiques, and thoughtful architectural detailing tailored to a young family’s lifestyle. The project will culminate in a formal inperson presentation to Alexa Hampton on April 14, 2026, presenting a fully realized design that balances timeless elegance with functional modern living.
Location: 400 East 59th Street, New York City, NY
Skills Used:
Autocad, Watercolor rendering, Mattoboard, Sketch notes
is an internationally acclaimed interior designer and owner of her father Mark Hampton’s legendary firm, which she has led since 1998 while expanding its global presence and continuing its tradition of classically grounded, timeless interiors. Regularly recognized on the AD100 and A-List by Architectural Digest and Elle Décor, her work is known for refined, layered spaces inspired by classical principles and the Grand Tour. A graduate of Brown University with further studies at New York University, she is also a respected author and product designer, creating collections with leading brands including Theodore Alexander, Visual Comfort & Co., Kravet, and Stark.

As part of my preparation for this amazing opportunity with Alexa Hampton, I did a deep dive into Neoclassicism. A study of Robert Adam and other architects and designers, as well as archival materials helped create a strong foundation in classical architecture and design.

MEET AMINA: Amina is a refugee from Somalia. She lives in South SLC with her two young boys and husband. Her 6 month old son fell ill during the night and so she decides to take him to the Redwood Urgent Care clinic in the morning.

Wayfinding is integrated at the nurses station through contrasting floor colors that differentiate patient and staff zones. The curved nurses desk serves as a central visual landmark, reinforced by clerestory windows that introduce daylight and enhance spatial clarity. Large room numbers and color-accented walls further support intuitive orientation for both patients and staff.
