As a result, demand for baking utensils and innovative product ideas has also soared. As a manufacturer of high-quality baking trays and kitchen tools, we have followed this development eagerly and expanded our range of products to meet our customers’ wishes. Our range of baking trays in particular reflects our high degree of competence with different series for individual price and customer segments. In the last three years since acquiring the Dr. Oetker licence, we have worked with passion and commitment to develop two new baking tray series: The “Back-Harmonie” series features a ceramic reinforced coating that is particularly durable and has excellent non-stick properties. For our latest “Back-Edition” premium series, we have developed a unique coating that meets the most stringent baking standards with exceptional non-stick properties. At the same time, we have developed innovative top-quality products with a high degree of functionality in the baking accessories range. The new “Profi” series of kitchen tools comprises high-quality stainless steel products with an elegant and timeless design. Baking trays and kitchen tools made of silicon are also gaining widespread acceptance among end consumers due to their many advantages compared with other materials. They are therefore an important part of our product range. The new Dr. Oetker “Flexxibel Love” range of silicon products encompasses innovative and creative baking utensils.
A further important trend is cake decoration with practical fondant tools, easy-to-use decoration cutters and brightly coloured muffin moulds and cookie boxes that are popular in many households. Home-made cakes, muffins and cupcakes can be creatively decorated and then put in attractive gift boxes to give away as presents. We have developed a large number of new items in this short time, increasing the range of Dr. Oetker baking trays and kitchen tools to around 400 products. This highly innovative period with a wide spectrum of product ideas is the result of the excellent partnership between Dr. Oetker Nahrungsmittel KG in Bielefeld and Zenker Backformen GmbH & Co. SUCCESSFUL PARTNERSHIP In 2013, Dr. Oetker devolved the production and sale of its baking trays and kitchen tools to Zenker, a Bavarian manufacturer of baking products, as part of a licensing agreement with a national and international focus. This means that two longestablished firms are now working together: Dr. August Oetker Nahrungsmittel KG founded in 1891 in Bielefeld, and Zenker Backformen GmbH und Co. KG in Aichach, Upper Bavaria. Zenker has been making high-quality baking products since 1885 based on its experience and expertise gained over decades. Platinum silicone is ideally suited for baking trays and kitchen tools thanks to its purity and flexibility. Dr. Oetker uses platinum silicone exclusively for all baking trays and kitchen tools in its Flexxibel and Flexxibel Love ranges. The material is also ideal for more sensitive applications, such as for medical products and baby items. It is guaranteed food-safe, inherently stable and dishwasher-safe, and is designed for easy removal of baked goods from the mould.

Enamel is applied to the baking tray in a liquid form and then fired at a high temperature. This produces a very hard, glass-like surface that withstands temperatures of up to 400° C, is cut and scratch-resistant, dishwasher-safe and absolutely resistant to fruit acid. Enamelling is a complex production stage designed to ensure the high quality and durability of baking trays and roasting dishes as a premium product.
