Kleniewski Praises New SUNY Chief
S
UNY Oneonta’s president praised her new boss, Katrina Johnson, as “an accomplished scientist, entrepreneur, and educator” who will continue SUNY’s goal, to become “the most successful system of higher education in the country.” Nancy Kleniewski was at SUNY headquarters in Albany Monday afternoon, April 24, to witness the vote on the new chancellor and offer her congratulations. Johnson is a former undersecretary of energy in the Obama Administration and a hydropower entrepreneur. GIVING BACK: Some 600 SUNY Oneonta students will go “Into The Streets” this Saturday, April 29, doing community service at 45 sites around the city, according to Linda Drake of the college’s Center for Social Resp;onsibility & Community.
