ABOUT THE POPULATION OF KENYA

The existing clinic is located in Kapkemich, Kenya, as part of a larger community mission operated by Envision Kenya, a non-profit organization. Currently, the building serves as a women’s health center, providing essential medical care and support for women in the region. The clinic plays a vital role in maternal health, offering prenatal and postnatal services. The new proposed building will encompass inpatient and outpatient services.

HANDCRAFTED

Fall 2023 - Fall 2024

Academic Models & Sketches Model Supplies, Acrylic Markers

BACKGROUND

A collection of models and sketches completed throughout the first and second year of my education, featuring hand-crafted models and acrylic marker drawings. These exercises strengthened my understanding of form, space, and materiality, while improving my ability to communicate ideas visually. Through hands-on making and iterative exploration, I’ve become a more thoughtful and intentional designer who values both process and precision.

STUDY ABROAD

Summer 2025 | Personal Experience

Northern Europe

Finland, Sweden, and Denmark Watercolor, Ink, Photographs

BACKGROUND

This summer, I studied abroad in Finland, Sweden, and Denmark, visiting over fifty sites from historic landmarks to contemporary works of humanistic modernism.

Through live sketching, I learned to slow down, observe, and absorb the environment.

Immersed in Nordic/Scandinavian design culture, I gained insight into how architecture shapes everyday experience and reflects values of sustainability, community, and connection between people and place.
