If you've driven down North Street in the past few days, you've probably noticed some patches of brick poking through the remaining asphalt, having been exposed as TxDOT begins repaving of North Street. This brick layer is estimated to have been installed around 1913 and is likely seeing the light of day for the first time in decades since it was first covered with asphalt by TxDOT.
