ExCALIBUR DREAM EA The Heir to the Sword A Dream Turned Reality by Talitha Bakker
Legends are rarely forged in a single generation. Sometimes they begin with a single sword. Sometimes they live on through those destined to carry its legacy. Excalibur Dream EA is one of them. Bred at the renowned Equus Arabians of Albert Sorocca in Spain, Excalibur Dream EA combines one of the most celebrated sires of modern Arabian breeding with an exceptional maternal family. As a son of the legendary Excalibur EA and out of Miss Al Jassmiya, expectations were naturally high. Yet even as a young foal, he exceeded them. His show career began almost effortlessly. As a foal he was named National Champion colt foal at the Spanish Nationals, a Titel he defended as a yearling and junior, making him a three times National champion. His other successes include: • • • •
Silver medal with 92.67 points at the Equigal International show in Spain Gold Medal Championship, Int B show Vichy, France Gold Medal Champion Pozoblanco show Spain Top Five placing at the World Championships in Paris, where he was also awarded Best Head of his class-a distinction that perfectly reflected the qualities for which he would soon become known.

It was during his first breeding season, at only two years of age, that Excalibur Dream EA caught the attention of Claudia Brugman and Claus Bouché of CCB Arabians in Belgium. Initially, they were looking for a breeding to the young stallion. But sometimes a first impression is only the beginning of a much greater story. A year later, they returned to Equus Arabians to see his first foals. What they found surpassed every expectation. The consistency was remarkable: elegant silhouettes, long, beautifully shaped necks, refined throats, expressive faces and the unmistakable charisma that cannot be created-it can only be inherited. Claus was immediately captivated. Sensing his admiration, Albert Sorocca asked a simple question: “Why don’t you buy him?” It seemed like an impossible thought. Until Claudia quietly turned that dream into reality. As a surprise, she purchased Excalibur Dream EA as a gift for her husband-a gesture that gave the stallion’s name an even deeper meaning.

Like the legendary sword from which he derives his name, Excalibur Dream EA is not defined by chance, but by destiny. Behind every exceptional horse stands an exceptional pedigree. His sire, Excalibur EA, needs little introduction. His record-breaking scores changed the standard of excellence in the international show ring and secured his place among the most influential stallions of his generation. Yet the maternal side of Excalibur Dream EA is equally compelling. His dam, Missila Aljassimya, is by Valentinus TO-by DA Valentino and out of the extraordinary Sol Natique, making Valentinus a full brother to the US National Champion Vitorio TO. Her dam, the unforgettable RP Miss Surprise by WH Justice, remains one of the most admired mares in modern Arabian breeding and is also the dam of Gold World Champion Mai Al Jassimiya. This is a pedigree in which every generation contributes beauty, athleticism and proven excellence. Excalibur Dream EA is not the product of coincidence, but of vision. Standing today as a young stallion, he possesses the qualities that made his sire unforgettable: a harmonious body, an exceptionally long neck, a flawless throatlatch, large, well set expressive eyes and the unmistakable elegance that traces back to the legendary Justice line.

At just three years of age, his own story is only beginning. Although only a handful of foals have been born so far, they already display remarkable consistency in type, refinement and presence. That promise was recently confirmed when CCB Morella (Excalibur Dream EA x La Marquesa) claimed the championship title at her very first show, the Breeders Challenge in Bruges. With an exceptional group of mares due to foal in 2027, breeders are watching with growing anticipation as the next chapter of Excalibur Dream EA’s legacy begins to unfold. For Claudia Brugman and Claus Bouché, Excalibur Dream EA represents far more than a beautiful stallion. He is the missing piece they had been searching for-a new chapter, a fresh bloodline and perhaps the beginning of a dynasty all of his own.
The dream became reality. The Sword lives on. A new dynasty begins.
