You may have also noticed homes under development at the Villages in Tule Springs near Eldorado and Aliante. In total, roughly 8,600 homes are planned over a 20-year buildout. Residents can look forward to a 35-acre regional park, equipped with four baseball and softball fields, three soccer and multi-use fields, a playground, splash pad and more! Additionally, a City of North Las Vegas Police Station and a Career Technical Academy are in the works in the area. Future phases of The Villages at Tule Springs will border the Eglington Preserve, part of the 22,650-acre Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument. Project development plans include trailheads to connect to the monument, which will include various facilities and a large parking area. With an onslaught of new homes, commercial development is sure to follow. Stay tuned because we’ll have more exciting news! John Lee Mayor of North Las Vegas

Maintenance Report: December 2021/January 2022 Maintenance Our maintenance for December and January included, but not limited to the following: • Selective plant pruning - this is the best practice to simplify and strengthen branch structure. This method is a longterm effect resulting in a much better plant aesthetically. • Removal of leaves and other debris, doggie station refreshment 3 times a week on all 108 doggie stations located throughout the community. • Trash collection on a daily basis (including Saturday and Sunday), on all major streets in the community and all walking trails; Decatur, Dorrell, Deer Springs North, Deer Springs South, Aviary, Elkhorn, Aliante Pkwy, Centennial, Clayton, and Brian Cram. • In the first week of December 2021, we assigned a crew to specifically focus on the maintenance of the 6100+ trees that are in the Aliante community • Crown Thinning, this type of tree trimming involves removing weak branches to open the canopy. Crown thinning enhances air and light penetration into the tree. It also lightens the load of the larger branches by removing defected branches. • Crown Lifting: this is cutting off the lower branches of the tree crown to lessen the mass of the larger limbs. It is done with the aim of clearing sidewalks, roads, and removing branches that may be conflicting with structures.
• The areas where tree trimming has been done are Deer Springs South, between Aviary 0 Clayton. Deer Springs North between Decatur and Aviary. We will start our tree trimming maintenance on Aliante Pkwy between Centennial and Deer Spring in the first week of February • For the month of February, the following maintenance will be done in Aliante. • 1st week of February: Aerate and fertilize all turf in Aliante community. • 2nd week of February: We will spray Pre-Emergent Herbicide (Weed Control) to prevent 0 reduce weed seedlings from becoming stablished in common areas of the community • 3rd week of February (weather permitting): we will start the Olive tree spraying to reduce the Olive fruit growth. • As you may or may not know, out of the 6100+ trees in Aliante 875 of them are Olive trees. – 660 existing olive trees in the Aliante common areas. –1 22 existing olive trees combined in walking trail 58, 59N, 59, and 61. –9 3 existing Olive trees combined in walking trail 60, 60 south, and 62. • The chemical that is used to reduce the olive production is called Maintain CF 125, it’s safe for People, pets and property. And the expectation for olive reduction is 85%-90%. The spraying process will be done after 9 pm due to safety, less foot traffic as well as less vehicle traffic.

State Your Claim Could Nevada be holding money for you?
What money you may ask, Items specified in Nevada Revised Statutes 120A says Nevada could hold financial assets owed to an individual or a bus iness, including securities, bank accounts, uncashed payroll checks, utility deposits, insurance proceeds, gift certificates, and other items. The primary mission of the Nevada Unclaimed Property Division is to reunite original owners with their property. The Treasurer’s Office is charged with safeguarding the value of these assets in perpetuity. The original owner or heir never loses the ability to claim the property value. Note: Unclaimed Property Does Not Include Real Estate Or Vehicles.
Here is how you can check to see if you have unclaimed money. Go to the Nevada State Treasurer website and click the yellow smiley face option that says “search for unclaimed money”. It really is that easy. Not from Nevada? You can state your claim in other states as well. Go to missingmoney.com. There is no fee to file a claim or to search for property.
