The Broadmoor Winter Polo Classic Returns in 2024

THE BROADMOOR WINTER POLO CLASSIC RETURNS TO THE NORRIS Penrose Event Center on February 24, 2024, rekindling a rich tradition that once graced the region nearly a century ago. This event, a collaboration between The Broadmoor and the Colorado Springs Sports Corporation, pays homage to the resort's founder, Spencer Penrose, an ardent polo enthusiast. Penrose's legacy, which included The Broadmoor Polo Association and The Penrose Polo Park, once boasted a thriving polo culture with multiple fields on the resort's grounds.

The 2023 edition of the Broadmoor Winter Polo Classic marked a resounding comeback. More than 800 spectators witnessed a thrilling showdown between The Penrose Polo Team and Emerald Valley Polo. The 2024 event promises to be equally exciting, offering special accommodation packages, VIP seating, and transportation options. SOARING INTO THE NEW YEAR

WE ENJOYED A BANNER YEAR CELEBRATING THE 140TH anniversary of The Broadmoor Seven Falls—a natural attraction known as the “Grandest Mile of Scenery in Colorado.” Our mascot, Chester the Chipmunk, made a return, as did larger-than-life chipmunk sculptures intricately decorated by local third graders and displayed along the walking trail to the base of the falls. Participating schools also enjoyed a fun-filled field trip to Seven Falls, complete with delectable treats from Falling Waffles food truck, featuring homemade ice cream from the Broadmoor Creamery.
