َ ْ َ َ �ٰ �ٰ ُ َ َ ﻋ َْن ﻋ ْﺒ ِۡد ا�� ِ� ۡبْ َِن ﻋ َ� َ� ـ ُرﺿﻰ ا��� ﻋﻨﻬﻤا ـ ﻗال اﺷ َﺘﻜﻰ �ٰ ُ َ� ُ َ َ َ ُ َ َ ْ َ َ َ َ ُ َ ْ ُ ۡبْ َُن الﻨ ِ� �� ﺻٰلﻰ ا��� �ٰلﻴُہ ﺳﻌۡد ﻋﺒادة ﺷ��ى �� ﻓﺄُتاه َ ْ ْ َ َ َ َ� ْ َ َ َ ُ ُ ُ َ ْ ْ �ِ�ا�� ْﺣ َﻤ َِن ۡب َِن ﻋۡو ٍف وﺳﻌ ِۡد ۡب َِن أ وﺳٰلﻢ ۡیﻌۡوده �� ﻋﺒ ِۡد َ� َ �ٰ �ٰ َ� َ َ َ ُ اص َوﻋ ْﺒ ِۡد ا��� ۡبْ َِن َﻣ ْﺴﻌۡو ٍد ـ ُرﺿﻰ ا��� ﻋﻨ�� ـ ﻓٰلﻤا ٍ وﻗ َ َُ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َْ َ ََ َْ �اﺷ َﻴ ِِۃ أﻫ ِ� ِ� ﻓﻘال� ﻗۡد ﻗﻀﻰ ِ � �ِ� دُخﻞ �ٰل ْﻴ ُِہ ﻓ َۡو َﺟۡده َ َ �ٰ َ َ ُ َ �ٰ ُ َ� الﻨ ِ� �� ﺻٰلﻰ ا��� �ٰلﻴُہ ﻗالۡوا ۡلَا ۡیَا َُر ُﺳۡول ا���� ﻓ َﺒﻜﻰ َ� َ َ ُ ُ ْ َ ْ َ َ َ� َ َ �ٰ الﻨ ِ� ِ�� ﺻٰلﻰ ا��� �ٰلﻴُہ وﺳٰلﻢ وﺳٰلﻢ ﻓٰلﻤا ُرأى الﻘۡوم ۡب�اء ْ َ ْ ْ َ ُ � َ ُ َ � ٰ َ� َ ُ َ ْ َ َ َ َ َ َ ْ َ َ ،�ِ �ۡب��ا ﻓﻘال� أۡلَا �ﺴﻤﻌۡون ِإن ا��� ۡلَا ۡیﻌ ِِذب ۡبِۡد� ِ� الﻌ َ َ ََ َ َ َ ُ � َُ ْ ََ ْ َْ ُ َ َ اُر ِإلﻰ ل َِﺴاﻧِ ُِہ ـ �َن ۡیﻌ ِِذب ۡبِﻬِذا ـ وأﺷ ِ � و،وۡلَا ِ�� ْﺰ ِن الﻘٰل ِﺐ َ� َ ْ َ َ َ َْ َ �أ ْو ۡی َ ْﺮ َﺣ ُﻢ َو ِإ �ن ال َﻤ �ِﻴﺖ ۡی ُ َﻌِذ ُب ۡبِ ُﺒ�ا ِء أﻫ ِ� ِ� َ�ٰل ْﻴ ُِہ Hazrat ‘Abdullah bin ‘Umarra narrated, “Sa‘d bin ‘Ubadara fell ill with a sickness, so the Prophetsa went to visit him, accompanied by ‘Abdur Rahman bin ‘Awfra, Sa‘d bin Abi Waqqasra and ‘Abdullah bin Mas‘udra. When he entered and found him surrounded by his family, he said, ‘Has he passed away?’ They replied, ‘No, O Allah’s Messengersa.’ The Prophetsa then wept, and when the people saw the weeping of the Prophetsa, they also began to weep. He said, ‘Will you not listen? Surely Allah does not punish because of the tears of the eye, nor because of the sorrow of the heart; but He does punish – or show mercy – on account of this,’ and he pointed to his tongue. ‘And indeed, the deceased is punished because of the wailing of his family over him.’” (Sahih al-Bukhari, Kitab al-jana’iz, Bab al-buka’i ‘inda l-marid, Hadith 1304)
