P E R S O N A L S TAT E M E N T My curiosity for Architecture is rooted in the love for research, critical thinking, and the final product that is born from a simple concept. Even with years of schooling, I only know the tip of the iceberg, leaving so much experience and methods that have yet to be explore. I want to dip my hand in every endeavor that leads to the betterment of our environments and communities. I believe that Architecture is a form of artistic expression and as a student designer, I’ve learned that creativity is infinite. Through the privilege of traveling to various parts of the world, along with growing up in a culturally driven environment, my approach to architecture varies. I enjoy the affect architecture has on families when designed for their accommodations. Or when used to reestablish a dying ecosystem in a carbon driven environment. While at Prairie View, collaboration among my peers and mentors were nourished and encouraged in order to grow. I hope to continue to strengthen these skills and inspire young creators to further strive for a better world .

THE MEADOWS Academic term: Design Studio III | 2018 Professor: John Bellian Type: Residential Site: 5930 Roberta Ln, Humble, Texas
A residential building with 12 units, onsite parking, and a central elevator system. Fluidity is the thought process desired for the structures design. The shape of the complex is a representation of the constant movement of other worldly nature, yet is restricted by the rules of earth. The design structure is housed with two cylindrical elevators encompassed by a double helixed staircase. Walkways and bridges are connecting for efficient human circulation.

A Home For Those In Transit In this project, an intiative to addressed the issue of homelessness in Houston, Texas. Texas is one of three

states with 58% of their adolescent population become homeless every year. As a requirement for this initiative, 15 units with a maximum 500 sqft is to be established for temporary housing. The inclusion of a space to aquire soft skills, training and access to outside resources. The program provided residents a year to gain adiquate soft skills to reintegrate into modern society. For an efficient construction period, each Unit is created through a 3d concrete printer. City shared bikes will also be available for residents to use around the neighborhood.

SANKOFA FURNITURE PROJECT Fabrication: 2019 | 2020 Professor: Ann Johnson Type: Furniture Location: African American Museum Bryan, TX
The Adinkra Furniture Project is inspired by sacred West African symbols. The project is commissioned by the Texas A&M School of architecture and in collaboration with Priairie View School of Architecture. I created the furniture designs from chosen Adinkra symbols which I believed represented the whole of the African American experience.The furniture will be located at the outdoor patio of the Bryan Aftican American Museum. Other components that will be displayed in the exhibit are a chess board, inspired by African American Civil Leaders, and Gees Bend quilts. Throughout the process of fabrication, design changes occured resulting in different materials being selected for different sets of furniture. were selected for *Open Exhibition Spring 2021*
