Christmas in Madeira has some differences than in Portugal
In our island, we have some traditions as:
Between 16th to December 24th ace 6am people flock to the church to celebrate the pregnancy of Mary. After Mass, people gather to eat, drink and sing!
Also, we usually drink
Liqueurs “Ginjinha”
Madeira wine
We have a different crib called “lapinha”

During Christmas time the entire island is full of lights!
