Alexander Staffa

Alexander Staffa earned his Associate of Science degree from Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat Springs. He later attended Metropolitan State University of Denver. After living in Colorado for 29 years, Alex decided to move to Amesbury, Massachusetts, where he is now focused on continuing his education. His goal is to complete a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. He recently applied to several schools in The Bay State and is looking forward to returning to the classroom. While exploring his academic options, Alex is currently working as a server and bartender at Tuscan Sea Grill in Newburyport, Massachusetts. The town is located about 35 miles from Boston and is known for its coastal charm and tourist appeal. His job provides regular opportunities to interact with people from different places, and he enjoys the variety that comes with working in a busy and welcoming setting. Alex Staffa’s decision to study Chemistry comes from a genuine interest in how things function on a basic level. He is especially curious about atoms, molecules, and reactions, and how these small components influence everyday life. Chemistry, for Alex, is not just a subject—it’s a way to apply analytical thinking and explore how the world operates. He is comfortable in the lab, where he can observe, experiment, and use what he learns. His interest in synthesizing compounds, analyzing substances, and contributing to research in sustainable materials keeps him motivated. Alex is methodical in his work and pays close attention to detail. At the same time, he can think creatively, which helps him make sense of complex data and look at problems from different angles.
