MARCH IS COLORECTAL CANCER AWARENESS MONTH
There are a million reasons to get screened. You only need one. Colorectal cancer is the third most diagnosed cancer in the United States; more than 50,000 people will lose their battle with colorectal cancer this year. Treatments for colorectal cancer have improved over the last few decades and increased screening in recent decades has decreased the death rate of colorectal cancer. Screening should start for everyone at 45 years old. Talk to your primary physican about your options.
