Accessibility

We are proud to open our doors to everybody and make theatre accessible to all. Look out for these symbols throughout this brochure:

Audio Described – Live verbal commentary is given through headsets to assist patrons who are visually impaired. The description doesn’t change the performance for any guests, but fills in the gaps for those who require it.

BSL Interpreted – Trained British Sign

Language signers stand to one side of the stage and interpret the script used by the performers at the same time as the actions are being performed.

Relaxed – Offer a range of adaptions to both the theatre environment and the production itself. These may include reduced sound levels, removal of certain special effects and allow free movement in and out of the auditorium.

Touch Tour – Touch tour events offer immersive, sensory experiences tailored for blind and visually impaired audiences. These tours provide tactile exploration of stage sets, costumes and props before a performance, enhancing accessibility and connection to the show.

MobileConnect – The MobileConnect system amplifies the performance via your mobile phone or tablet. Audience members connected to the app will hear a live feed of the on-stage performance (with audio description, if attending an Audio Described performance), wherever they are sat in the auditorium. For more information, please visit atgtickets.com/access

Access Hosts – Dedicated members of staff will be on hand to ensure patrons with access requirements have everything they need.

The year is 1943 and right now we’re losing the war. Luckily, we’re about to gamble all our futures on a stolen corpse.

Operation Mincemeat is the fast-paced, hilarious and unbelievable true story of the twisted secret mission that won us World War II. Bursting at the seams with the kind of chaos you couldn’t invent, the question is: how did a dead body, a fake love letter, and – of all people – Ian Fleming come together to wrong-foot Hitler? Ages 6+

I’m Sorry, Prime Minister

From the BAFTA Award-winning co-creator of Yes, Minister and Yes, Prime Minister, Jonathan Lynn, comes the long-awaited final chapter of British political satire –and it is as cunning, cutting and catastrophically funny as ever.

Jim Hacker (Simon Rouse) is back – older, but perhaps not wiser, and still utterly baffled by the real world. While trying to enjoy a quiet retirement at Hacker college, Jim finds himself facing the ultimate modern crisis: cancelled by the college committee. Enter the delightfully devious Sir Humphrey Appleby (Clive Francis)

Can Humphrey outmanoeuvre the meddling students, or is it finally time to say, ‘I’m Sorry, Prime Minister’?

Brimming with razor-sharp wit and nostalgic brilliance, this is political comedy at its most timeless – and timely!

Present Laughter A comedy by Noël Coward

Theatre Royal Bath Productions presents Tracy-Ann Oberman stars as Geri Essendine in this new production of Noël Coward’s celebrated and hilarious portrayal of the temptations and pitfalls of theatrical celebrity.

Geri Essendine is a hugely successful actress (who has been 39 for the best part of a decade). Her personality, wit and charm have earned her a legion of devoted fans, young and old, and a coterie of friends, acquaintances and hangers-on.

Just as she is about to depart for a tour of Africa, Geri finds herself besieged by a bevvy of would-be lovers, not to mention her long-suffering secretary, estranged husband and an obsessed young playwright. Will she ever disentangle herself from their tightening clutches and incessant demands? And deep down, does she really want to…?

Known to millions from iconic roles in EastEnders, Doctor Who and Friday Night Dinner, Tracy-Ann Oberman returns to the stage following her highly acclaimed performance in The Merchant of Venice 1936.
