Accessibility

We are proud to open our doors to everybody and make theatre accessible to all. Look out for these symbols throughout this brochure:

Audio Described – Live verbal commentary is given through headsets to assist patrons who are visually impaired. The description doesn’t change the performance for any guests, but fills in the gaps for those who require it.

Captioned – Similar to television subtitles, captions give patrons who are D/deaf, deafened or hard of hearing access to live performances. The actors’ words appear on display units at the side of the stage.

Relaxed – Offer a range of adaptions to both the theatre environment and the production itself. These may include reduced sound levels, removal of certain special effects and allow free movement in and out of the auditorium.

Touch Tour – Touch tour events offer immersive, sensory experiences tailored for blind and visually impaired audiences. These tours provide tactile exploration of stage sets, costumes and props before a performance, enhancing accessibility and connection to the show.

MobileConnect – The MobileConnect system amplifies the performance via your mobile phone or tablet. Audience members connected to the app will hear a live feed of the on-stage performance (with audio description, if attending an Audio Described performance), wherever they are sat in the auditorium. For more information, please visit atgtickets.com/access

Access Hosts – Dedicated members of staff will be on hand to ensure patrons with access requirements have everything they need.

THE JOHNNY CASH MUSICAL

A NEW MUSICAL FROM THE DIRECTOR OF JERSEY BOYS

The Ballad of Johnny & June

Love is a burning thing, and no one burned brighter than Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash.

He was a small-town musician and storyteller with a voice that stirred the soul. She was the comedienne of the first family of country music.

The Ballad of Johnny & June takes you inside the soaring highs and shattering lows of a love story that defined an era. From the stage to the road, through triumphs, heartbreak and redemption, this brand new musical, created with the support of their family and told through the eyes of their son, John Carter Cash, shows why Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash remain one of the most influential couples of the 20th century.

Packed with legendary hits including I Walk the Line, Ring of Fire, Hey Porter, Jackson, I’ve Been Everywhere and directed by two-time Tony® Award-winner Des McAnuff (Jersey Boys and The Who’s Tommy), don’t miss your chance to join music royalty for The Ballad of Johnny & June. Ages 12+

The Choir of Man

Operation Mincemeat: A New Musical

Mon 25 – Sat 30 May

The year is 1943 and right now we’re losing the war. Luckily, we’re about to gamble all our futures on a stolen corpse.

Operation Mincemeat is the fast-paced, hilarious and unbelievable true story of the twisted secret mission that won us World War II. Bursting at the seams with the kind of chaos you couldn’t invent, the question is: how did a dead body, a fake love letter, and – of all people – Ian Fleming come together to wrong-foot Hitler? Ages 6+

‘It’s not just the best musical I’ve ever seen; it’s the most rewarding theatrical experience I’ve ever had.’ – Taffy Brodesser-Akner, The New York Times

MAUREEN LIPMAN

Allegra ATG SP 84x128.indd 1

Allegra

From Olivier and Tony© Award nominated playwright Peter Quilter, the writer behind End of the Rainbow and Glorious!, comes a brand new heartwarming comedy with music, created for audiences who love unforgettable characters and a truly special night at the theatre.

30/01/2026 17:21

National treasure Dame Maureen Lipman takes centre stage as Allegra, marking her first UK tour in 20 years. Beloved by millions for her role in Coronation Street and celebrated for her extraordinary career across stage and screen, Dame Maureen brings her trademark warmth, wit and emotional depth to this funny and deeply moving new play.

Allegra is full of life, joy and an irresistible urge to sing. She bursts into song at home, in the street and even in the local shops and cafés. Sometimes the orchestra plays only in her imagination. Sometimes it spills gloriously into the real world, much to the delight, confusion and occasional horror of everyone around her.

Directed and choreographed by three-time Olivier Awardwinner Stephen Mear, this uplifting production also features familiar faces including Bailey Patrick of Bridgerton, John Middleton, known to many from Coronation Street and Emmerdale, and Elizabeth Bower of Coronation Street

Brighton Festival Malory Towers

Emma Rice returns to Brighton Festival following the huge successes of Wise Children’s North by Northwest (2024) and Wuthering Heights (2022).

Darrell Rivers is starting school with an eager mind, fierce heart and a quick temper! Can she learn to tolerate the infuriating Gwendoline Lacey, or value the kind-hearted Sally Hope? Can she save the school play and rescue terrified Mary Lou? If she can do these things anywhere, she will do them at Malory Towers!

Nostalgic, naughty, and perfect for now, Malory Towers is the original ‘Girl Power’ story. Set to sensational live music, this is a show for girls, boys and all grown-up children who still dream of midnight feasts and Cornish clifftops.

From the novels by Enid Blyton. Adapted and directed by Emma Rice. Co-produced by Emma Rice Company, Alexandra Palace Theatre, Belgrade Theatre, HOME Manchester and Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse.

★★★★★ ‘Stuffed full of inventions and enchantments... Emma Rice takes Blyton to the top of the class!’

– The Guardian

The Spy Who Came In From The Cold

Second Half Productions and The Ink Factory present The Chichester Festival Theatre production of The Spy Who Came In From The Cold. The spy novel that changed everything. Now live on-stage.

For the first time ever, a novel by John le Carré – the undisputed master of the modern spy genre whose works include Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy and The Night Manager –is brought to life in a thrilling stage adaptation.

Starring Ralf Little (The Royle Family, Death In Paradise), The Spy Who Came In From The Cold is a riveting journey through the fog-shrouded terrain of Cold War espionage, deception and moral compromise.

Following a sold-out run at Chichester Festival Theatre and direct from the West End, this gripping new play written by David Eldridge (Beginning, Middle, End) and directed by Jeremy Herrin (Grace Pervades; People, Places & Things) comes to Brighton for one week only. Ages 12+

This production contains strong and derogatory language prevalent in the period, including anti-Semitism, and depictions of violence including torture and gunshots.

Abigail’s Party

Theatre Royal Bath Productions presents the Stratford East production of Abigail’s Party, directed by Nadia Fall.

Tamzin Outhwaite stars as one of the most iconic characters in British theatre in Mike Leigh’s ferocious black comedy of suburban life in the 1970s.

Essex. The alcohol is flowing, Demis Roussos is on the record player and the cheese and pineapple cocktail sticks are ready to go. Queen of the castle in her suburban semi, Beverly and husband Laurence welcome new neighbours Angela and Tony round for drinks. Sue from next door is invited too but the real party is happening back at her place, as Sue’s teenage daughter Abigail can’t seem to keep the racket down. Awkward small talk quickly descends into inappropriate flirtation and marital disputes: a soiree from hell, but it’d be rude to leave…

Tamzin Outhwaite, much-loved from her television roles, leads the cast in this revival of the Stratford East production which received stellar reviews during a sold-out run in 2024.

Mike Leigh’s razor-sharp portrait of social class, materialism and sexual tension is an unmissable modern classic.

★★★★ ‘Tamzin Outhwaite... having the time of her life. A comic lead on stellar form.’ – WhatsOnStage

★★★★ ‘Designed and dressed to period-mimicking perfection... Nadia Fall’s superbly acted production.’ – The Daily Telegraph

★★★★ ‘Tamzin Outhwaite... mesmerising… an acting masterclass.’ – The Times G10+

TAMZIN OUTHWAITE

I’m Sorry, Prime Minister

From the BAFTA Award-winning co-creator of Yes, Minister and Yes, Prime Minister, Jonathan Lynn, comes the long-awaited final chapter of British political satire –and it is as cunning, cutting and catastrophically funny as ever.

Jim Hacker (Simon Rouse) is back – older, but perhaps not wiser, and still utterly baffled by the real world. While trying to enjoy a quiet retirement at Hacker college, Jim finds himself facing the ultimate modern crisis: cancelled by the college committee. Enter the delightfully devious Sir Humphrey Appleby (Clive Francis)

Can Humphrey outmanoeuvre the meddling students, or is it finally time to say, ‘I’m Sorry, Prime Minister’?

Brimming with razor-sharp wit and nostalgic brilliance, this is political comedy at its most timeless – and timely!

★★★★ ‘Enjoyable, nostalgic, poignant. It brings the house down!’ – The Telegraph

‘Memories of a perfect TV show came flooding back.’

– The Times
