As I remember myown mother, I lookwithin GammaTheta Omega and seeSororswho balanceservice, scholarship, family, and faith with extraordinary poise.This month, we honorevery Sororwho is a mother, grandmother, guardian, orguiding light. We also uplift thosewho motherthrough mentorship — theSorors whoencourage, support, and inspire us in waysthat shapeour journeys.

CommunityServiceset thetonewith a joint roadside cleanup in collaboration with Zeta Upsilon. Led by Chairman SororVanessa and SororAnquenetta, Sorors from both chapterswere paired toencouragefellowship, resulting in12 bagsoftrash.
The Emerging Young Leaders program celebrated its 2026 Graduation Ceremony, honoring the achievements of its 8th grade participants underthe leadershipof Chairman SororCortnie and Co-Chairman SororSamaria Wright.
The Precious Pearlsexpanded their horizonswith a collegetourtoTallahassee, Florida, visiting Florida A and M University and Florida State University.Theexperience concluded with anticipation fortheirfinal meeting and SeniorSend Off, celebrating 22 graduating seniors.
GenNext supported wellnesseffortsduring theApril Chapter Meeting with a tabling event led byChairman Soror Mikaelya and herteam, providing Sororswith resources and small self-care items aligned with the Live Well, ServeWell initiative.

COMMUNITY SERVICE
Thank you Chairman Soror Vanessa and Soror Anquenetta for organizing a successful joint roadside cleanup on Saturday morning in collaboration with Zeta Upsilon. The event brought together 15 GTO Sorors and 8 Zeta Upsilon Sorors in a true display of unity and shared purpose. To encourage fellowship, members from both chapters were thoughtfully paired together, strengthening connections while serving side by side. In just one hour, we collected 12 bags of trash, making an immediate and visible impact in the community. Several neighbors paused to express their gratitude, and a school officer captured a memorable group photo by the Adopt-a-Road sign.
Additionally, Soror Vanessa went above and beyond by cleaning the signage, conducting a site inspection to prepare for future efforts, and documenting damage. She promptly contacted the county to request a replacement sign, secured a case number, and is committed to following through until installation is complete.
This initiative reflects more than a single morning of service. It demonstrates our commitment to stewardship, collaboration, and community pride. By maintaining shared spaces, we contribute to safer, cleaner neighborhoods while modeling the power of collective action. Moments like these strengthen our partnerships, deepen our bonds as Sorors, and remind the community that service is not just what we do, it is who we are. Together, we continue to leave a lasting mark, one act of service at a time.
