Spring Greetings, Sorors!
The beauty of spring surrounds us a time of renewal, growth, and blossoming potential. As nature flourishes, we are reminded that each new season is an opportunity to refresh our minds, recommit to our goals, and uplift one another through the power of sisterhood. Much like the ivy that symbolizes our strength, perseverance, and connection, we are rooted in our shared values and continue to grow in unity and purpose.
As we welcome Women’s History Month, we celebrate the remarkable contributions of women who have paved the way for progress and change. This month serves as a tribute to the trailblazers, including phenomenal women within our sisterhood, who continue to inspire us through leadership, service, and resilience.
This spring, we also celebrate an extraordinary milestone within our sisterhood. Please join us in wishing Soror Odessa Brown a very Happy 103rd Birthday on March 1, 2025! Let’s shower her with cards and wellwishes to honor this incredible occasion. You can send cards to: Soror Odessa Brown, 390 S. Sepulveda Blvd #204, Los Angeles, 90049. Soror Brown’s life and legacy inspire us all to live with grace, resilience, and love.
Additionally, we look forward to gathering for the 96th Far Western Regional Conference, taking place in Oakland, CA, from February 26 to March 2, 2025. This year ’ s theme, Homecoming, reminds us of the birthplace of the Far Western Region and the deep bonds we share as sisters. Exciting news!! AGO won!!

Also, don’t forget that Daylight Saving Time begins on Sunday, March 9, 2025. Be sure to move your clocks forward one hour and embrace the longer days filled with opportunities to grow and shine.
This season, let us take time to celebrate our accomplishments while embracing the possibilities ahead. It is through our collective strength that we continue to uplift our communities and create meaningful change. Together, we can achieve great things, leaving a legacy that reflects the excellence we strive for every day.
Our pearls shine brighter when we stand together, supporting and encouraging one another in every endeavor. Whether we ’ re organizing events, serving our community, or simply spending time with each other, may Women’s History Month remind us of the joy and beauty of sisterhood.
May your spring be filled with joy, love, and continued blessings.

“Meaningful Sisterhood” “Meaningful Sisterhood”
Ephesians 4:32 states:
“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.. ”
I’ve come to have great appreciation for the joy of sisterly love. Not family, but sisters of the heart. Webster defines it 3 ways: 1. state of being a sister; sisterly relationship. 2: a community or society of sisters; 3: the solidarity of women based on shared conditions, experiences, or concerns.
Good girlfriends can gather in groups; however, often they are one-onone kinships nurtured over long periods of time. Good girlfriends share their stories, create new ones, and maintain confidences. These relationships are special, exceptional, all too rare. In social media, we all enjoy ‘friends,’ who peek into our daily routines. Sadly, these same friends may not know us intimately, but despite our choices of favorites, they try to know us. These friendships could be thousands, virtually or authentically, they encourage, edify and empower our bonds. The Bible even shows us examples of challenged relationships and some positive examples. Which shows us that we can be good girlfriends across religious denominational, racial, ethnic, economic, social, and political boundaries. Because, we can care for, maintain and sustain relationships across distance and time. Tried and true, ride or die, we sit and listen, without judgment, we have our backs in life. But every woman we meet can be the best of good girlfriends, but to have one and to be one makes all the difference in the world.
