To My Dearest Sorors,
As we enter February, we are reminded of the beauty and significance this month holds. It’s a time to honor our history, nurture our health, and cherish the love we share as sisters.
Black History Month calls us to reflect on the legacy of strength, resilience, and excellence that defines our journey. We stand on the shoulders of those who paved the way and continue their work by being impactful leaders in our communities.
February also marks Pink Goes Red for Heart Health Month, a vital initiative to raise awareness about heart disease—the leading health threat to women, especially in our community. Let us commit to prioritizing our wellness and encouraging each other to live healthier lives, embodying the care and love we extend to those around us. Please join us on February 7, 2025 at 7:00pm for the 15th Annual Soul Line Dancing for Heart Health.
And of course, Valentine’s Day gives us the perfect moment to celebrate the love and sisterhood that bind us together. Let’s spread kindness, support, and joy doing Random Acts of Kindness throughout February. This month, let’s uplift our hearts, our heritage, and our health. Together, we are unstoppable!

Sisterly Yours,
Soror Lynette K. Brooks

I Timothy 6:12:
“Pursue a righteous life, a life of wonder, faith, love, steadiness and courtesy, running hard and fast, fighting in the faith”.
Ephesians 6:12 states:
“Take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. And put them to use soyou will able to stand up to everything the enemy throws your way. ”
The fight of faith refers to the ongoing struggle a believer faces to maintain their faith in the face of challenges, temptations, and oppositions, essentially meaning that living a life of faith requires active effort and perseverance. We actively defend and uphold our beliefs against external and internal pressures, an ongoing struggle against sin, doubt, and worldly influences that can undermine one ’ s faith.
