Working on creating unique shapes through different media. I was inspired by macro photgraphy of deteriorating buildings and rusting metal and wanted to show the idea of layers showing through each other in different ways which I achieved with paper cutouts. I then tried printing with materials I had around the house to create patterns (bubble wrap and clingfilm.) Dec 2025-Jan 2026.

Acrylic paint prints
After experimenting with different prints and paper cutouts I wanted to combine these ideas. I made a few small pieces using watercolour, acrylic, cutout, prints, and embroidery, then bound them into an A6 sketchbook. From my original inspiration of deterioration I was able to create abstract work and a small cohesive book showing different techniques with unifying shapes and colours. January 2026.

Dance objects and figures
A collection of studies and still life compositions showing the process of my Higher expressive project. I chose to do the theme of dance, showing different objects found backstage, as performing is something I’ve always been passionate about. August 2024-March 2025. Later in the year, I decided to delve deeper into the theme of dance and focus on the figures and shapes that dancers create. Oct-Dec 2025.

Buildings in London
Over the summer I went to London and enjoyed the architecture and environment. I brought a sketchbook and did small studies of details around London. This then led me to do more detailed and stylised work on a larger scale. July-Sep 2025

London Work Development
I wanted to continue my work on London and experiment more with patterns/colour. I began with some lino prints of a London phonebox and lamppost, printing onto different colours and arranging them. September 2025.
My intial work/ starting point
I decided to create postcards as mementos for the friends I went to London with. I started by creating a larger piece including a London tube map, then cut it into sections so it had a cohesive look and so they could be placed together. SepOct 2025.

Design and Manufacture
In Higher D&M I was tasked to design food court seating for children inspired by the theme “Children's fun snacks” that included an element of play. After coming up with 8 initial ideas I chose the design pictured on the left, which I then developed into the design on the right. Jan-Apr 2025.
Graphic Design Work
Work on imagery for the film La La Land, which was developed into a poster. I tried a variety of different layouts, and in the final one I chose, I incorporated paper cutout on the piano and coloured shapes to add some texture. FebMarch 2024.

Character design task
Work from a character design task. I was inspired by 50s fashion so based my character around this as well as deer as they are both seen as feminine, and I felt the colour palette worked well for the time period. I was interested in the environment she would live in so came up with some mid-century furniture designs that could be included in her home. Aug-Sept 2025.

Character design (logo)
I had the idea to turn my character into a doll which I could then make a dollhouse for. I wanted to create a logo/sign for the house so researched 50s fonts before coming up with my final design. This could be a sign on the house or packaging for it as a toy. September 2025.
Final lettering and logo design tested on different backgrounds. Handdrawn digitally.
Character design (home)
I developed my interior for my character, coming up with different layouts to put my furniture in. I then researched mid-century architecture and after looking at different classic silhouettes designed the exterior for her house, before coming up with a floor plan. To visualise her space in 3D I made a model out of foam which I would later like to create with more durable material. Sept-Dec 2025.
