Each year, AIA Cleveland recognizes excellence in design by inviting local firms to submit their best work to be reviewed by nationally renowned juries from all over the country. In 2019, 535 attendees gathered at the Hilton Downtown Cleveland to celebrate and recognize architectural and interior design excellence in Cleveland and northeast Ohio. Our 2019 Keynote Speaker and Design Jury Chair was Lawrence Scarpa, FAIA from the internationally known design firm, Brooks+Scarpa. Lawrence and his firm have been recognized with over 100 major design awards including twenty National AIA Awards, and the 2014 Smithsonian Cooper Hewitt National Design Award.
