The interiors of this historic building have been restored retaining their original 18th century design: vaulted ceilings and original stones are just some of the features that await guests behind the doors of the 40 elegant rooms and suites. The elegantly furnished rooms, decorated with natural materials and colors, reflect the elegance and detail of a classic atmosphere. The colors - brown, beige, ivory and black - imbue the environment with a sense of harmony and refinement, generating relaxation and well-being.
LEGACY
The Casa da Companhia Hotel established a new standard in the renovation of an old house, full of history and memories, into a luxury hotel in the historical center of Porto.
Besides the architectural value of the building, there is a huge charisma in this house by the fact that it has served, between 1761 and 1960. As headquarters of Real Companhia Velha –the oldest existing business in Portugal. That charisma is further enhanced by the role this Chartered Company, founded in 1756 by Dom José I, King of Portugal, played in the Port industry by regulating the Douro valley as the oldest wine appellation in the world, and its influence and contribution to the economic history of Northern Portugal in the 18th century.
Porto wine got its name from the city from where it was exported, and the Casa da Companhia Hotel is preserving and perpetuating a significant part of this fascinating history so intimately linked to our city
LOCATION
Casa da Companhia is located on Flores street (pedestrian access), 5 minutes walk from São Bento station. The hotel is within a pleasant walking distance from the main monuments of the city of Porto: Sé Catedral, Torre dos Clérigos, Lello Bookstore, Café Majestic, Palácio da Bolsa, São Francisco Church, Soares dos Reis Museum and the riverside area. The Cardosas’ car parking (paid park) is at 200 mts or 2 mins walk along Flores street. The street is only opened for loading and unloading between 6.30 am and 11 am.

40 rooms divided into 3 suites, 7 Junior Suites, 23 Deluxe and 7 Classic, one adapted for people with reduced mobility. Spread over seven floors, they are spacious, decorated with natural materials and colors, reflecting luxury, comfort and elegance in every detail. Some of the rooms are interconnecting, others have a privileged view of the Porto Cathedral or an interior garden.
All are equipped with: touch technology, Lavazza coffee machine, bed linen and embroidered towels by the Portuguese brand Lameirinho, free Wi-Fi access, minibar, desk, LCD TV, cable TV, telephone with direct line to the outside, safe, hairdryer and cosmetic mirror.

RESTAURANT & BAR
Located on the ground floor and with direct access to Flores street, the Bar, with a cosmopolitan atmosphere, serves a wide variety of Portuguese wines by the glass, classic and contemporary cocktails and invites you to enjoy light meals with the freshest local ingredients.
Open daily from 10.30 am to midnight. Opening soon, the restaurant is divided into two spaces, one of them with a more intimate and elegant, but yet informal, atmosphere. It will serve a wide range of modern cuisine, visually very attractive, with some classic Portuguese and international dishes. Guests will also find space for showcooking and sommelier to choose the wine.
OUTDOOR SWIMMING POOL
On the terrace located on the third floor is the outdoor swimming pool, for the exclusive use of guests. Its location allows you to enjoy a breathtaking view over the Cathedral of Porto and has a bar support.
