The World Health Organization (WHO), invites you to the web meeting " Implementing vision and hearing screening in schools: A deep dive into the WHO handbook".
The Vision and Hearing School Screening Handbook, developed by WHO, provides practical guidance to help countries implement effective school-based screening programmes for vision and hearing. Its goal is to ensure early identification and timely intervention for children with sensory impairments, contributing to better health, learning, and life outcomes.
This handbook is a collaborative product of WHO’s ear and hearing care and eye care programme aligning with the World Report on Hearing and the World Report on Vision. It supports the implementation of WHA resolutions 70.13 (hearing), 73.4 (vision), and 78.7 (sensory impairments), and advances progress towards universal health coverage and inclusive education.
