TEONA
TITVINIDZE-KAPON
530 West 25th Street, New York, NY
Born and raised in Tbilisi, Georgia, artist Teona Titvinidze-Kapon fills her paintings with soothing, pastel colors and rich iconography from her past. Her work possesses the dreamy atmospheric quality of Chagall fused with the visionary aesthetic of William Blake. Mythical figures and animals populate her paintings; creatures of supernatural insight descending from turquoise skies or flying over bucolic rural scapes. Oftentimes, a tall slender woman is present. It is the painter’s alter-ego entering a dream world where imagination rules and romance prevails. With fine brushstrokes and raw materials like gold, crystals, stones and textiles, the artist relishes the details of her work, lovingly bringing every scene to life. Titvinidze-Kapon lives and works in New York City.

I am self employed, I am a passionate person who loves life, nature, animals, colors. I try to put them all in my artwork. I use water colors, acrylic ink. Also, I add a lot of materials in my paintings, such as gold, crystals, stones, textiles. I utilize whatever feeds my creative imagination. I mix them all together. My paintings are an expression of my life and my feelings, so I put a lot of love and time into each of my art pieces.
