The Agnes Irwin School awards students who qualify for assistance through this consideration process. We require all families to re-apply for consideration every school year. The Agnes Irwin School adheres to the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) Principles of Good Practice: Financial Aid Administration.

Applying for Tuition Assistance Agnes Irwin is committed to being an inclusive, diverse, and equitable community, and we strive to make AIS available to bright, motivated girls regardless of a family’s ability to pay. Investing in your daughter’s education is one of the most important decisions you will ever make. We are here to assist in that choice.
1: Indicate your intention to apply for tuition assistance on the admission application.
This guide will help you manage the tuition assistance consideration process, outlining the required documentation and corresponding due dates.
2: Complete the online tuition assistance application.
When prompted on your application to The Agnes Irwin School, please indicate your intention to apply for tuition assistance. Our formal tuition assistance policies and procedures can be reviewed in the New Family Guide to Tuition Assistance, which can be found on our website at: agnesirwin.org/admissions/applying-for-tuition-assistance.
Admission Application Deadline: December 4, 2026 Create an account at Clarity at auth.clarityapp.com/en/signup. You must complete your tuition assistance application between October 1, 2026 and December 4, 2026 in order to meet the first deadline. Tuition Assistance Overview Tuition assistance is available for families who demonstrate need and complete the application for consideration of tuition assistance in a timely manner. There are no meritbased scholarships. The tuition assistance process is separate from the admission application process, and applying for tuition assistance will not affect an applicant’s chance for an offer of admission. More students who qualify for assistance may be accepted than we are able to fund; if this happens, students will be placed into a waiting pool for tuition assistance at the time of acceptance. If tuition assistance becomes available, the Office of Admission will notify families. Through the generosity of our donors, we awarded $6.1 million in tuition assistance to 33% of our student body for the 2026-2027 school year.
Tuition assistance decisions are determined by the Tuition Assistance Committee on the basis of demonstrated need and availability of funds at the time of a complete admission and tuition assistance application. To be considered for tuition assistance — and to maximize your chances of receiving funding for the 2027-2028 school year — you must submit a complete application by the first-round deadline December 4, 2026. Completed tuition assistance applications submitted after the deadline will be considered only if funding is still available. By policy of the Board of Trustees, no more than 50% of the cost of tuition is awarded in PreKindergarten even when a family qualifies for more assistance. Please note that for split households, all items must be submitted by both parents by creating two Clarity applications, as well as all supporting documentation as outlined on the following page. Completed Tuition Assistance Application Deadline for First-Round Consideration: December 4, 2026 After January 31, 2027: 2026 W-2s or proof of 2026 income (for both parents, if applicable) will be required.
3: School’s review and notification.
Agnes Irwin’s Tuition Assistance Committee reviews each request for tuition assistance and determines whether a tuition assistance grant will be awarded based on the family’s need and the School’s budget. Tuition assistance decisions will be announced for admissible students beginning in mid-January 2027. Late requests for tuition assistance will only be considered if funds are still available after the first round of decisions.
