Commemorating forty years of Agincare!

Did you know that Agincare began with a single care home in Weymouth?

Forty years ago, our Chairman Derek Luckhurst, founded Agincourt Care Home on the Dorchester Road with a simple but powerful vision: to ensure older people in the community received highquality care at an affordable price.

So committed was Derek to that vision that he moved into Agincourt with his young family (see page 2),

creating a true home-fromhome environment where residents always came first.

Those values of compassion, quality and family remain at the heart of Agincare today.

From those humble beginnings, Agincare has grown into one of England’s leading independent care providers.

Today, we operate in more than 200 locations, while never forgetting where our journey began.

Inside these pages, you’ll discover our remarkable journey over the past four decades and see just how far we’ve come together.

Celebrating four decades of delivering high-quality care in the community

This year, Agincare proudly marks 40 years of providing care and support to individuals, families and communities across England.

Throughout this journey, we have remained family-owned, people-focused and firmly committed to delivering high-quality, personcentred care built around dignity, choice and independence.

This milestone is an opportunity to reflect on the dedication of our teams, the trust of the people we support and their families, and the strong relationships we have built within local communities.

As we look to the future, our focus remains clear: to make a meaningful difference every day while continuing to grow responsibly and with purpose, pride and care.

Welcoming three care homes in Richmond to the growing Agincare family

We are delighted to announce that three care homes in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames have officially joined Agincare’s comprehensive range of care services.

We are now responsible for operating Whitefarm Lodge in Twickenham, Greville House in Richmond and Laurel Dene in Hampton, marking the start of an exciting new long-term strategic partnership with Richmond Council.

This is a significant chapter for Agincare and reflects the continued confidence

local authorities place in us to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.

Together, the three homes provide residential and nursing care for up to 218 publicly funded and selffunded residents. We are also proud to welcome more than 300 fantastic team members who have joined Agincare as part of the transfer.

We recognise that periods of change can create uncertainty for residents, families and our teams. Throughout the transition, our priorities have therefore been to provide reassurance, maintain

continuity and ensure the highest standards of care.

With 40 years of experience, Agincare has a strong track record of working in partnership with local authorities, charities and housing providers across England. These relationships are built on trust, shared values and a commitment to putting people first.

The three Richmond homes now join Agincare’s growing network of more than 200 care services across England, including over 45 residential and nursing homes.

Agincare Dorchester celebrates new location in Poundbury to better serve the community

This spring, we officially opened our newly relocated Dorchester Home Care & Live-in Care Service, near Queen Mother Square in Poundbury, celebrating another success for Agincare in Dorset.

The ribbon was cut by Mayor of Dorchester, Cllr Andy Canning and Mayoress Mel Lane, with community representatives joining us

to celebrate the occasion.

Mayoress Lane said of the opening:

“We congratulate you on opening these new offices and wish you every success for the next 40 years.”

The new office strengthens Agincare’s four-decade-long presence in Dorchester and reinforces our commitment to supporting local communities.

Our growing Extra Care success in Somerset

Through our Extra Care services in Somerset, we were proud to be named a finalist for the UCS College Group Industry Skills Employer of the Year Award - selected from more than 1,500 companies. Through this partnership, we have welcomed 13 Health and Social Care students into our Extra Care schemes.

Our

Enable service enhances its level of support with new specialist care home in Nottingham

Agincare Enable has experienced a particularly strong period of sustainable growth in 2026, with the acquisition of three key specialist services across London and Nottingham.

At the heart of this expansion is Devonshire Avenue in Nottingham, a new specialist care home that represents a significant investment in enhancing our range of support services.

The acquisition brings exciting growth for Agincare Enable, demonstrating our commitment to expanding specialist support for people with the most complex care and support needs.

Our ESG commitment

Alongside Devonshire Avenue, two additional services have been established at Chislehurst in Bromley and Horse Leaze in Newham. Both services have been developed in partnership with their respective local authorities.

Each service has been carefully designed to provide safe, welcoming environments tailored to individual care needs.

Together, these three services create more opportunities for individuals living with complex needs to access high-quality, person-centred support within their local communities.

As part of our ongoing commitment to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), solar panels have been installed at Rochester Care Home in Medway, Kent.

Our commitment to care extends beyond the services we provide. By embracing sustainable initiatives, fostering an inclusive culture and continuing to deliver highquality care, we’re creating lasting value for the people we support, our teams and the communities we serve.

Agincare’s first complex injury seminar wins plaudits from top industry professionals

Doctors, nurses, lawyers, insurers, case managers and care specialists gathered for our first Injury to Independence seminar to address the challenges facing people after traumatic injury.

Held at the iconic Southampton Football Club on 12 May, our event explored how closer collaboration across healthcare, rehabilitation, legal services and long-term support can improve recovery outcomes.

Our expert speakers highlighted how fragmented services and delayed communication can leave individuals and families to navigate complex systems at an already difficult time.

The seminar introduced the aims of our Complex Injury Partnerships Programme (CIPP), which creates a coordinated support network spanning healthcare, legal services, case management, rehabilitation and long-term care, with the individual at its centre.

Our first Children’s Home opens its doors

Our new not-for-profit Children’s Services is already making a meaningful difference. At our first Children’s Home in Three Legged Cross, Dorset, we have welcomed our first young person, representing an important step in the development of the service.

Live-in care client Brendon shares his remarkable journey to recovery after childhood spinal injury

Michelle Beer, Head of Operations for our live-in care services, recently sat down with client Brendon Feeley and his mum, Bev, for a special video interview shown at our Injury to Independence seminar.

At just 13 years old, Brendon sustained a serious spinal injury that dramatically changed life for him and his family. His recovery was long and challenging, but today he is a successful cyber-security professional and published poet.

Bev spoke about the lack of coordinated support and continuity between the professionals involved in Brendon’s recovery. Through Complex Injury Partnerships Programme, we can now provide fully coordinated care and support built around an outcomes-based approach.

Today, Brendon lives independently with support from his professional Agincare livein care workers, Aurica and Philip. He credits their support with helping him maintain his independence and continue working towards his personal goals.

Agincare’s support has also enabled Bev to return to being Brendon’s mum, rather than his primary care worker, further strengthening the already unbreakable bond between them.

We were incredibly proud to share Brendon and Bev’s interview at the event, followed by a live Q&A session.
