CELEBRATING CPC RECRUITMENT The Collegiate Panhellenic Council (CPC) hosted their primary recruitment during August 17-24, The week was filled with opportunities for potential new members to interact with the CPC community at-large through events like yoga, boot bow tying stations, and a barbeque with live music. This year we had a record breaking 1,535 women sign up for primary recruitment, with 1,211 women receiving a bid on bid day. This year marks an exciting new chapter for our CPC primary recruitment process with the implementation of logistical Rho Gammas. These individuals assist in handling the operational aspect of recruitment to ensure everything runs smoothly. This change allows our traditional Rho Gammas to focus solely on the experience of potential new members. This change also introduced a new position, the Director of Recruitment Counselors, who ensure all Rho Gammas have a good experience in their role.
ADVISOR CONFERENCE
On August 9, we hosted our annual advisor conference. This was the first year this conference was held in person since Covid-19. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the advisors who were able to attend. The attendees heard keynote presentations from Debbie Robertson ‘76, long-time advisor to Zeta Tau Alpha, and Joni Taylor, head coach for women’s basketball, who discussed what it means to be an impactful advisor. Additionally, advisors had the opportunity to join a breakout session with topics ranging from health & safety to a crash course on Get Involved. The conference ended with an opportunity to have some council specific discussions.
