Telling Our Stories to Secure Better Public Policies * This month, members of AFT Connecticut affiliates have the opportunity to sit down with their community's state lawmakers at one of three regional meetings. Watch and share our short video promoting this year’s events with your co-workers to help spread the word. Honoring Our Own Heroes in 2026 We are now accepting nominations for AFT Connecticut’s annual Unionist of the Year and Joseph H. Soifer Award. Submit yours by April 1 to ensure outstanding activists are recognized at the annual business convention this May. "Demanding that Leaders Act Now" to Shield Our Communities * Before the Connecticut General Assembly’s 2026 session convened, union leaders teamed up with stakeholders to make the case for bold investments in public education.
