OVERVIEW DETAILS Name and numbering As introduced with X Series, we will follow the same name numbering approach.
Separator Technology Letters indicating the separator installed in this model: dual rotor - X single rotor - S multi drum walker - T Family/Series
Series/Generation: Future major updates will trigger this number to increase in steps of 10
Performance Group Currently ranges from 1 to 11. Based on the overall Capacity of a machine
JD14X ENGINE NEW FEATURES: – Built for Agriculture demands – S7 800, S7 900 – Max rated power at a lower 2000rpm engine speed – 10% increase in torque vs 13.6L engine – Single turbo – High Pressure common-rail fuel system
New Features – Improved grain loss monitoring system in Base Equipment Redesigned “Cleaning Shoe to Chopper Transition”
Loss sensors under each individual shoe bay
•
•
More detection of potential grain loss
•
More accurate loss sensing
Offers better presentation to the sensor
New Features – Improved grain cleanliness Additional Shoe Vents • Improved air flow through the cleaning system • Allows excess air pressure to escape the cleaning shoe • Improving grain cleanliness • Reduces feeder house dust for better visibility
RESIDUE MANAGEMENT NEW FEATURES: – Increased residue spread performance with new
Premium Powercast
– Improved residue total system efficiency with straight
chopper blades and a mechanical spreader drive on PPC
– Additional shoe air vents help reduce backpressure – Improved spread width covering large FEE – Replace as set (8) – Save up to 15 hp with the new PPC
S7 Premium PowerCast Spreading Device Distribution Adjustment from display 10L to 10R for wind compensation by changing left and right shroud position

Use if you have white caps in wheat, this aids in keeping the grain in the rotor to complete a revolution of the rotor before exiting to the cleaning shoe
Separator Grate Covers Why? Separator Grate Covers Improves capacity in very dry small grains conditions by reducing the chaff load to the cleaning shoe Start with non, add one row at a time as needed to level up the cleaning shoe – remember to first check auger divider doors are in correct position.
Chaffer Adjustment (Front) Recommended adjustable front chaffer set to 25mm. When the lever is fully raised, the front chaffer is fully closed. When the lever is fully lowered, the front chaffer is fully open. One notch is equal to approximately 4 mm
Power Shut Down Procedure Found in the Operators Manual and Equipment Mobile

Auger Bed
Evens the crop mat Crop diverters on both sides
Auger Bed The conveyor augers provide positive and even grain delivery to the full width of the cleaning system. Deep troughs with adjustable dividers for the auger beds help to prevent grain from bunching up and dumping large, uneven loads onto the cleaning system. NOTE: The cleaning system has four large supply augers and troughs.
CANOLA TIPS AND TRICKS • NO SLOWER THEN 400 RPM ROTOR SPEED IN GOOD CANOLA • WIDE OPEN CONCAVE GAP THEN CLOSE UP 6-8 • SLOWER THE FAN SPEED THE LESS LOSS • DUAL ZONE TO 5MM • FEED ACCELERATOR IN HIGH SPEED • 3 FULL ROWS OF SEPERATOR CAGE BLANKS LEFT • RETHRASHER IN CORN SETTING • DON’T MAKE YOUR GRAIN TANK CLEAN OR YOUR LOOSING GRAIN TARGET AROUND THE 1.3 TO 1.5% ADMIXTURE • CLOSE PRECLEANER ONE NOTCH FROM TOP TO STOP STRAW PLUGGING
WHEAT TIPS AND TRICKS • RUN AS OPEN AS POSSIBLE FOR CAPCITY • IF YOU’VE GOT SMALL GRAIN WHITE HEADS WILL BE AN ISSUE, USE THE RETHRASHER AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE • FEED ACCELERATOR HIGH SPEED FOR HIGH YIELDS • DUAL ZONE AT 5MM – 10MM • RETHRASHER IN WHEAT SETTING • ADJUSTABLE PRECLEANER SHOULD BE WIDE OPEN • IF USING COMBINE ADVISOR MAKE SURE SELECTED CONDITIONS MATCH WHAT YOU ARE DOING (Threshing/ Straw quality)
PULSES TIPS AND TRICKS • SET RETHRASHER TO MIDDLE HOLE THAT WE DRILL ON PD • MAKE SURE RETHARSHER CLEARANCE IS SET CORRECTLY • 13 WIRE CONCAVE IN REAR BAY GIVES BEST CAPACITY, LEVEL CONCAVES IF CHANGING • CLOSE DOWN ADJUSTABLE PRECLEANER IF PLUGGING WITH STRAW BUT KEEP AS OPEN AS POSSIBLE • 3 ROWS SEPERATOR CAGE BLANKS IN (LEFT) • DUAL ZONE SECTION AT REAR OF TOP SIEVE SET AT 15MM • FEED ACCELERATOR IN SLOW SPEED • SET AS SOYBEANS FOR ACTIVE YIELD TO WORK
Common things S-Series What can we do? - High Tailings Load - Grain in the fan - Unthreshed heads in the discharge beater - Clean grain in the discharge beater - Clean grain in the rethresher - Shoe Auger clean out doors - Poor sample Close it down?? - Pre Cleaner - Dual zone Chaffer
