Start Harvest •

Start Harvesting

•

Monitor the forward speed and engine load, Stop, check outside conditions, ie grain loss

•

When ready, adjust Max speed limit to just above current speed, and engine power limit to current power usage.

•

After approx 15min of initial harvesting, Engage the Ground Speed Automation Button *Best Practice Tips* From here, give the machine time to settle into a rhythm. Adjust the limits for Grain Loss, Foreign Material and Broken grain to meet crop expectations If machine within ideal conditions, slowly increase max speed and Power Limit in small percents at a time, this will allow it to push harder until one of the limits are reached.

Predictive Yield Map

The Predictive yield map will auto populate once the system has recorded enough harvest data to build a map for the remaining field. This can take anywhere from 5 to 20mins to appear After 20 mins, Try a Key cycle should the map not be showing

Foreign Material Limit Logic-

If you need to have a cleaner sample, then lower the limit number Grain Quality Limits page allows you to change both Foreign Material and Broken grain limits whilst looking at the grain quality camera

Machine Startup Workflow

Foreign Material Limit – MOG vrs Unthreshed LogicThis give you the option for the machine to focus on what type of Foreign material is in the grain tank Eg, If you have short straw pieces in the grain bin, change the focus to MOG, Harvest Automation will then adjust machine settings towards MOG being the issue vrs unthreshed

Machine Startup Workflow

Locking out Specific Harvest Settings In some crop scenarios, it may be needed to lock out HSA from adjusting specific harvesting settings, Eg, in Canola, it may seem to want to have the fan speed too high especially if its small sized canola. We can lock the fan speed to manual, and the remaining will still be adjusted as needed. Please try adjusting the crop conditions first, often the reason its making a change you don’t like.

Machine Startup Workflow

Adjusting Speed and Settings Sensitivity

Specific crop situations may require a sensitivity adjustment of Ground Speed or Harvest Settings Adjustments(HSA) Eg, in small areas of frosted or weedy crops, lowering the sensitivity of the HSA, will slow down its need to adjust whilst in those weedy patches, so it will maintain good crop settings for when its left the troubled area Default is 3 and also the best recommended setting

Machine Startup Workflow

Frosted Crops

Should you have issues with Frosted crops or spikes and troughs in grain loss, You have the option to turn off, ‘Adjust Ground Speed with Grain Loss’

Machine Startup Workflow

Terrain Automation Sensitivity

On some slopes, you can adjust the sensitivity of the adjustments from changing terrain, and by how far the adjustments are made It is also possible to turn off Chaffer and or Sieve adjustments for terrain Automation

Machine Startup Workflow Automation Limits Cannot Be Achieved If you have your limits set too low, or your engine power is too high for the grainloss limit that is set. The system will run out of options for adjustment and will set HSA into Manual Recomendation is to check the boxes, hit ok, then re adjust limits and power performance

Note* if you hit cancel, HSA will show manual and you will need to find the above page to switch back on.

Reasons for Change – X9 Combines (For Australia / New Zealand)

• When Ground Speed Automation makes an adjustment, a “reasons for change” icon will appear beside the real-time ground speed readout on the Harvest Automation run page. • Benefits • Showing the reason for adjustments in real time builds trust in the system, allowing automation to remain engaged across a wider range of conditions

Terrain Pitch Sensitivity • Terrain-sensitivity slider for optimizing machine behavior on slopes • Influence on (P)GSA learning time in terrain – decreasing sensitivity improves learning time in terrain

• At heavy biomass: quicker machine slowdown & improved Engine protection logic to avoid machine plugging • Sensitivity of slider is not matching machine pitch angle • P(GSA) learning takes longer / not finish in fields with slopes >6°

NOTE: If Adjust Ground Speed for Down Crop preference is not selected, the overlay will not show if the operator attempts to adjust Down Crop Ground Speed Limit.

Machine Startup Workflow Grain Loss display mode 1. Amount Per Area (Area-Based) Definition: Displays grain loss as a physical quantity per unit of land area, such as kilograms per hectare or bushels per acre. Purpose: Helps operators understand how much grain is being lost across the field, independent of yield. Use Case: Ideal for comparing performance across different fields or conditions.

2. Percent Of Yield (Yield-Based) Definition: Displays grain loss as a percentage of the total harvested yield. Purpose: Provides insight into how much of the potential crop is being lost. Use Case: Useful for evaluating the efficiency of the harvesting process relative to crop output.

Display mode : -Area base -Yield base

Machine Startup Workflow

External Crop settings adjustments At times there will be a need to make external machine adjustments to assist in Harvest Setting Automation being able to improve machine performance •

White heads in wheat will require Concave covers to be installed, to allow the grain to complete some revolutions in the rotor.

•

Too much chaff overloading the Chaffer will require Separator covers to be installed (X9)

•

As crops dry or become brittle, will need Feed Accelerator to be on slow speed (recommend slow all times)

Machine Startup Workflow Camera Calibration

The Forward-Looking Camera will require calibrating each season for best performance. Simple process, find a large gravel yard or shave an area of the field as short as possible for least amount of stubble If a sunny day, perform calibration with sun behind machine to avoid glare up to the cameras
