Engine Power Target • When setting a Combine Advisor target, the Engine power target will automatically be set to current machine power level. • Once target is set, the engine power target can be adjusted by the operator by pressing the +/- buttons. • The target can be adjusted between 60 and 105% indicated by the dark grey icons on the right side of the power meter. • The yellow pointer indicates the set target. The black arrow indicates the instantaneous engine power and will correlate to the PDU engine power meter bars.
Manage target with grain loss • Manually adjusting the Engine Power Target will automatically disable “Manage target with Grain Loss” as the operator is manually overriding the automatic management.
Manage with Grain Loss will increase the Target Engine Power if Performance Monitor grain loss targets are much better than when the operator set the loss targets. This will speed up the machine, increasing productivity to the acceptable loss target.
Speed Limit • A maximum speed limit can be set for the system to not exceed.
It is best practice to not operate against this limit continuously, the system is not designed to operate in this manner. If the max speed is continuously encountered, it is best to decrease the Engine Power Target to achieve this average speed or if the conditions allow, increase the max speed.
Aggressiveness HarvestSmart system aggressiveness can be used to adjust the target tracking VS smoothness of ride.
Higher aggressiveness (5) - The system will maintain the Engine Power Target better but is less comfortable to the operator. Lower aggressiveness (1) – The system will provide a smoother ride but has worse target tracking.
HarvestSmart Engage • The reconfigurable buttons comes pre-associated to the Multifunction Lever Button B on both S and X series machines. The button can be assigned to any single press reconfigurable on the Multifunction Lever or the arm rest.
Operating HarvestSmart (Crop Entry) • HarvestSmart is a reactive system and cannot see incoming crop. It is up to the operator to handle rapid changing conditions. The following is the recommended way to perform crop entry: 1. Press the 2 (or 3) Header Height button to activate header height control. 2. Press the AutoTrac
button to activate auto-steer
3. Enter crop manually controlling ground speed reaching a typical ground speed for harvest with the multifunction control lever. 4. Engage HarvestSmart button.

Active Terrain Adjustment
Perform Calibration When: Each header type is connected to the combine for the first time. Fore/Aft Pitch sensor has been replaced.
What is ATA (Active Terrain Adjustment )
• Downhill slope
• Uphill slope
• Increases grain tank cleanliness
• Reduce grain in tailings • Reduces overall shoe losses
Active terrain adjust compensates uphill and downhill slopes up to 16° by automatically altering cleaning shoe settings

What can Reject a Load? Inconsistent Flow Uneven loading / Grain pile shift detected Possible due to large acceleration/deceleration or rough terrain causing excessive grain shifts in the grain tank. Pitch or roll too large If Pitch/Roll angle was larger than 4 degrees during sample collection, the load will be rejected. Collection interrupted Harvesting stopped or Unloading auger was engaged while sample collection was in progress.
