Fear of Flying Rewiring Your Mind to Fly Calmly and Confidently

For some, stepping onto a plane brings a sense of excitement, holidays, new experiences, or long-awaited reunions. But for many others, it can feel very different. A racing heart, a tight chest, a mind filled with “what ifs.” Fear of flying is incredibly common, and for some, it becomes something that quietly shapes life decisions, turning down trips, avoiding opportunities, or enduring journeys filled with anxiety.

From a Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH) perspective, this fear is not a flaw or weakness. It’s simply the brain doing its job, trying to protect you.

We all have an older, more primitive part of the brain that’s wired for survival. Its role is to scan for danger and react quickly. The challenge is, it doesn’t always get it right. It can’t easily tell the difference between real danger and something that just feels unsafe. So when you’re on a plane. out of control, high in the sky, noticing every sound or movement. that part of the brain can go into overdrive. Even though flying is statistically very safe, your body may still respond as if there’s a genuine threat. That’s why fear of flying feels so real. Because it is real in the body.

What’s refreshing about SFH is that it doesn’t dwell on why the fear started or try to analyse every detail of it. Instead, it gently shifts the focus to something much more useful: how would you like to feel?

Maybe it’s being able to sit comfortably on a plane, feeling calm enough to read a book, watch a film, or simply relax. Maybe it’s just getting through a flight without that overwhelming sense of panic. Whatever the goal, the focus stays firmly on moving forward.

A big part of the process is understanding what’s happening in your mind and body. When you realise that a pounding heart or spiralling thoughts are just your brain’s natural alarm system and not a sign that something is actually wrong, it can take away a huge layer of fear. You’re no longer scared of the fear itself.

Hypnotherapy then helps to reinforce this shift. In a deeply relaxed state, your mind becomes more open to new ways of thinking and feeling. You might imagine yourself going through a journey step by step, arriving at the airport, boarding the plane, taking off, feeling calmer and more in control each time. The brain begins to treat these imagined experiences as familiar, which can make the real thing feel far less daunting.

What’s important is that change doesn’t have to be dramatic or instant. Often, it happens in small, meaningful steps. Thinking about flying without that immediate sense of dread. Booking a flight with a little more confidence. Noticing that you feel slightly calmer than before. These shifts matter and they build.

SFH also encourages you to notice what’s already going well. Even the smallest progress is a sign that your brain is learning something new. And the more you focus on those changes, the more they tend to grow.

Fear of flying doesn’t have to define your choices or limit your world. With the right approach, it’s possible to retrain your mind, gently and positively, so that flying becomes just another part of life, rather than something to fear.

If fear of flying is holding you back, you don’t have to manage it alone. With the right support, it’s entirely possible to feel calmer, more in control, and able to travel with confidence. What Stories Do You Tell Yourself?

We all carry around a quiet narrator. It speaks in the background of our lives, shaping how we see the world, interpret events, and ultimately decide who we are. This narrator tells stories about our worth, our abilities, our relationships, and our future. Most of the time, we don’t even notice it’s there. But its influence is profound.

The question is, what stories are you telling yourself?

For some, the story is empowering. It sounds like, I can figure things out. I’ve overcome challenges before. I’m capable of change. For others, the narrative is far less kind: I always mess things up. People don’t really like me. It’s too late for me to start over. These stories become lenses, colouring every experience. Two people can go through the same situation and come away with entirely different conclusions, not because of what happened, but because of the story they told themselves about it.

Consider a simple example. You send a message to a friend, and hours go by without a reply. One internal narrator might say, they must be busy. I’ll hear back later. Another might whisper, I’ve said something wrong. They’re upset with me. Same situation, completely different emotional outcome. One leads to calm; the other to anxiety. The story shapes the feeling.

These narratives are not random. They are built over time, often beginning in childhood. A teacher’s offhand comment, a parent’s expectations, a moment of embarrassment in front of peers, these experiences can leave impressions that quietly solidify into beliefs. Over years, those beliefs become stories, and those stories become identity.

The trouble is, once a story becomes familiar, it starts to feel like truth. Psychologists often refer to this as a kind of “cognitive shortcut.” The brain prefers consistency. If you’ve told yourself for years that you’re “not creative,” you’ll unconsciously filter out evidence that contradicts that belief. You might dismiss your own ideas or avoid situations where creativity could flourish. In doing so, you reinforce the original story. It becomes a self-fulfilling loop.

But here’s the important part:, just because a story feels true doesn’t mean it is.

In fact, many of the stories we tell ourselves are distorted. They are based on partial information, outdated experiences, or harsh self-judgments we’ve never thought to question. We wouldn’t speak to a friend the way we often speak to ourselves, yet our internal narrator can be relentlessly critical.

The first step to change is awareness. You can’t rewrite a narrative you don’t realise you’re telling. Start by paying attention to your inner dialogue, especially in moments of stress or self-doubt. What’s the immediate interpretation your mind jumps to? Is it generous or harsh? Is it grounded in evidence, or is it assumption?

You might notice patterns. Perhaps you tend to personalise setbacks,. This failed because I’m not good enough or catastrophise small issues This one mistake will ruin everything. These are common thinking traps and recognising them is a powerful step toward loosening their grip.

The next step is curiosity. Instead of accepting the story at face value, gently question it. Ask yourself, Is this the only explanation? What evidence supports this? What evidence contradicts it? Often, you’ll find that the story is far less solid than it first appeared.

Take that unanswered message again. Could there be other reasons for the delay? A busy schedule, a forgotten phone, a long day? By exploring alternative explanations, you create space for a more balanced narrative.

Rewriting your internal story doesn’t mean replacing every negative thought with forced positivity. It’s not about pretending everything is perfect or ignoring real challenges. Instead, it’s about accuracy and kindness. A more helpful story might sound like: This didn’t go as planned, but I can learn from it or I feel uncertain right now, but that doesn’t mean I’m incapable.

Language matters here. The words you use internally shape your emotional landscape. Subtle shifts from always to sometimes, from I am to I feel can make a significant difference. I am a failure becomes I feel like I failed this time. The first is an identity; the second is a temporary experience.

Another powerful approach is to consciously choose the story you want to live into. If your current narrative is limiting I’m not the kind of person who takes risks what would a more expansive version look like? Perhaps, I’m learning to take small, meaningful risks. This kind of reframing doesn’t deny your past, it opens a door to a different future.

It’s also worth remembering that stories are shaped by the company we keep. The voices around you, friends, family, colleagues, even social media can reinforce or challenge your internal narrative. If you’re constantly exposed to criticism or comparison, it becomes much harder to maintain a balanced self-view. Curating your environment, both online and offline, is part of shaping your story.

Of course, some stories run deep. They may be tied to significant experiences or long-standing beliefs that aren’t easily shifted. In these cases, support can be invaluable. Talking things through with a trusted friend, coach, or therapist can help you see your story from a new perspective. Sometimes, we need someone else to gently point out the parts we’ve been taking for granted.

Spring Clean Your Health

As the days get longer and the daffodils return, spring brings a chance to reawaken your energy and shake off the winter cobwebs, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Here are 10 fresh and joyful ways to spring clean your health from the inside out.

Grow Something – Even on a Windowsill!

Spring is literally about growth, so get involved! Try planting herbs like basil, mint, or parsley on your windowsill – or take a few beans like chickpeas or whole lentils and start sprouting your own. Watching something grow (especially if you eat it!) is grounding, joyful, and naturally mindful.

Go Foraging: Make Nettle Tea or Soup

Nettles are one of nature’s superfoods and are abundant right now. Pick them (wear gloves!), steep them into tea or add them to potato and leek soup. Nettles are rich in iron, calcium and minerals and foraging reconnects you with local food, nature, and old traditions. There is also lots of wild garlic around at the moment too which is fab in pasta, pesto or risotto.

Catch a Sunrise & Listen to the Dawn Chorus

Get up early one morning and head out for sunrise. Spring birdsong, the dawn chorus is one of the most uplifting natural concerts there is! Add a flask of tea and a friend and you’ve got a life-affirming morning with zero cost!

Eat the Rainbow of Spring

This season brings its own colour palette – radishes, spring greens, purple sprouting broccoli, wild garlic, rhubarb. Make it a game: how many colours can you eat today? Your gut (and microbiome) will love the diversity, and so will your tastebuds.

Go Barefoot for 10 Minutes a Day

Sounds odd, but studies show that ‘earthing’ – standing or walking barefoot on grass or sand can reduce stress and inflammation. Try it in the garden or at the beach. Just 5-10 minutes can help you feel grounded and recharged.

Get Outside (Not Just for Steps)

We’ve all heard “get your steps in”, but spring is a chance to do it differently. Swap the treadmill for a forest path. Trade headphones for birdsong. Exposure to natural light and green spaces has been linked to improved gut health, immunity, and mood.

Declutter Your Snack Cupboard

Spring clean your kitchen too. Ditch the ultraprocessed, beige snacks and stock your cupboards with colourful, whole food goodies – nuts, fresh fruit, roasted chickpeas, hummus, dark chocolate. Keep them visible and you’ll be more likely to eat them.

Cook with Someone Else

Cooking doesn’t need to be solo or stressful. Invite a friend over and make a big pot of lentil stew, or let the kids join in and make a mess with pizzas. Food should be joyful, and shared.

Unplug an Evening a Week

Try one tech-free evening a week. No phones, no scrolling, no screens. Cook, chat, walk, read, or just be. Spring is a reminder that life happens outside the feed – it’s blooming, buzzing and real.

Pick One New Weekly Ritual

Whether it’s a Sunday sea swim, a Saturday market visit, or Friday evening soup-making; pick one new weekly ritual that brings joy, nourishment, and connection. Rituals anchor us and help us stay healthy without needing ‘willpower’.

Health doesn’t have to mean being strict or ‘on track’. Spring is a season of possibility and pleasure, and sometimes a mug of nettle tea in the garden is more powerful than any supplement.

This month I’m sharing something a little different with readers of Affinity. As we are officially into spring it is a natural time for ‘new life’, some of us might feel more motivated with fresh starts, goal setting and healthier habits.

Manifesting is very close to my heart, for me, energy is everything.

‘What you think you become, what you feel you attract, what you imagine you create’.

A short manifesting story I’d love to share with you. I am a Reiki practitioner who has been having reiki since I was 16. I knew there was something beyond the mundane, forever wondering if it would be in my path to hold space for reiki one day, fast forward 7 years to being on a solo New Year retreat in Bali and the facilitator was holding a 3-day course level 1 & 2 to become an attuned reiki healer and after an additional 21 days attunement it is safe to say it changed my treatments for the better, energy never lies!

You may have heard of the buzz word, ‘I have manifested this’ when something has come to light that you’ve been wanting for a while or have thought about in the past. For me, manifesting is an act that taps into our subconscious mind allowing seeds to be planted for feelings, tangible things and experiences to come into your life.

Have you ever been talking about something like a particular car you might like in the future and before you know it you are noticing them everywhere? This is your subconscious mind becoming more aware of your surroundings –

Manifesting in may

the cars would have always been there, you just happen to notice them because they have been in your mind’s eye! If you haven't had this experience before, it is fun to play around with.

1) Clearing your energetic pathway = allowing yourself to be open to receive!

Reiki - an energetic shift that happens in your body, clearing stagnant energy blockages though universal energy being held for you. A 40-minute session is the equivalent of 7 hours deep sleep!

Breathwork -the power of the breath, facilitated and guided breathwork session another form of clearing energetic blockages.

Movement – Creating your own energy shift, allowing the blood to pump around your body giving you a natural energy boost!

2) Getting clear on what you are wanting. Visualisation, meditation and vision boarding are my favourite ways to get creative in what you are wanting to bring to fruition.

3)Take action! What is a small thing you can do TODAY to move a little closer to this manifestation?

Next month I am excited to share with our inner sunshine as we hit the middle of the year! All things self-confidence, affirmations and filling up your own cup

As always, find me on socials@daniellecox.wellbeing

Phāea Blue

Timeless Luxury and Cretan Soul at

Phāea Blue

Quietly sophisticated and deeply attuned to its surroundings, Phāea Blue is a rare find on the north eastern coast of Crete. Framed by sweeping views of the Aegean and the historic island of Spinalonga shimmering in the distance, the resort offers an atmosphere of understated elegance paired with a profound sense of place. As the only luxury boutique hotel directly on the beach in Crete, it remains intentionally intimate, with just 47 bungalows and suites designed to blur the line between indoor comfort and outdoor beauty.

Each accommodation is thoughtfully curated, combining natural textures, muted tones, and handcrafted details that reflect the island’s heritage. Private terraces open onto uninterrupted sea views, while some suites offer individual pools, creating a sense of seclusion that feels both indulgent and restorative. The design ethos is one of quiet luxury, never ostentatious, always considered, allowing the landscape and local culture to take centre stage.

With Crete named the European Region of Gastronomy for 2026, Phāea Blue has shaped its programming around the island’s rich culinary traditions. Dining here is not simply an experience but a narrative, rooted in history and guided by seasonality. The resort’s farm-to-table philosophy is elevated through the Phāea Farmers network, a collaboration with local producers committed to sustainable and organic practices. This connection ensures that every ingredient tells a story, from sun-ripened vegetables to freshly caught seafood. Guests are introduced to this philosophy from the moment they arrive. Rather than a conventional cocktail, the welcome ritual is a shot of Phāea’s own extra virgin olive oil, golden, aromatic, and symbolic of Cretan life. It is a gesture that feels both grounding and meaningful, setting the tone for a stay defined by authenticity.

As evening approaches, the Blue Door Aperitivo Ritual unfolds, capturing the essence of coastal Crete. Set around the resort’s iconic fishing boat, the terrace becomes a gathering place where time slows and conversation flows. Plates of seafood meze arrive in abundance: just-caught fish delicately marinated in wild herbs, local cheeses rich with character, and pickled vegetables that evoke the island’s resourceful traditions. Glasses of raki are generously poured by Haris, the restaurant’s charismatic host, whose stories weave together Crete’s layered history with humour and warmth. As dusk deepens into night, music and dance emerge organically, transforming the space into a celebration of culture and community.

Wellness at Phāea Blue is equally rooted in heritage, drawing on ancient practices that honour both body and land. From mindful retreats to immersive culinary experiences, the focus remains on reconnection, whether through nourishment, nature, or tradition. The use of the resort’s own olive oil across all kitchens is a subtle yet powerful detail, reflecting a commitment to purity and sustainability rarely seen at this level of luxury.

At Phāea Blue, luxury is not defined by excess but by intention. It is found in the simplicity of a shared meal, the rhythm of the sea, and the enduring traditions of Crete, offering guests an experience that feels both timeless and deeply personal.

Contemporary Countryside Living at Nordelaia

Tucked quietly among vineyards and undulating hills in Italy’s celebrated Piedmont, Nordelaia offers a refined countryside escape where design, gastronomy and nature exist in effortless harmony. Set across five hectares of working agricultural land, this 12-room boutique hotel feels both intimate and expansive, a place where time slows to the rhythm of the vines yet remains within easy reach of Milan, Genoa and Turin.

Conceived by the female-led design studio These White Walls, Nordelaia is a masterclass in contemporary Italian minimalism layered with warmth and texture. Earthy tones, natural materials and sculptural forms echo the surrounding landscape, while expansive windows invite the outside in, framing vineyard views that shift with the seasons. Each of the 12 rooms is individually styled, balancing clean architectural lines with artisanal details, creating spaces that feel both sophisticated and deeply personal.

The hotel’s ethos is rooted in its land. As an agricultural estate, Nordelaia produces its own ingredients, from vegetables and herbs to honey and fruit, weaving a strong farm-to-table philosophy throughout the guest experience. This connection to the land extends beyond dining, with immersive countryside activities including vineyard walks, truffle hunting and seasonal harvest experiences that offer guests a deeper understanding of Piedmont’s rich culinary heritage.

Wellness, too, plays a quiet yet integral role. The spa is designed as a sanctuary of calm, where treatments draw on natural, locally sourced elements, and large windows look out onto the rolling hills beyond. It is a space that encourages stillness, whether through restorative rituals, time spent in the sauna, or simply pausing to absorb the landscape in silence.

This season marks an exciting new chapter for Nordelaia’s culinary offering, with a bold evolution of its restaurant, LORTO - meaning ‘The Vegetable Garden’. Under the direction of chef Charles Pearce, the restaurant has shifted away from the traditionally meat-heavy cuisine of the region, embracing instead a vibrant, vegetable-forward approach that celebrates seasonality and provenance.

Pearce’s cooking draws subtly on his British roots while remaining deeply respectful of Italian terroir. The result is a menu that feels both innovative and grounded, where humble ingredients are elevated through technique and creativity. Dishes are designed for sharing, encouraging a convivial, relaxed style of dining that feels refreshingly modern in this rural setting. Highlights include barbecued garden lettuce paired with peas, walnut ketchup and a delicate lettuce velouté; a surprising donut filled with lentil curry, plum ketchup and nasturtium; and a playful reinterpretation of sticky toffee pudding that nods to the chef’s heritage.

The restaurant itself has undergone a transformation, relocating to the ground floor to create a more informal, energetic space. Here, the atmosphere is closer to that of a contemporary London dining room than a traditional country trattoria, bringing a dynamic new rhythm to the Piedmont countryside. It is a shift that feels both unexpected and entirely fitting, reflecting Nordelaia’s ability to honour tradition while quietly redefining it.

At Nordelaia, luxury is found in the details: the scent of wild herbs carried on the breeze, the interplay of light across vineyard rows, and the thoughtful balance between design, nature and cuisine. It is a destination that invites guests not only to escape, but to reconnect with the land, with food, and with a slower, more considered way of living.

Contemporary Culture and Riverfront Elegance at Andaz Lisbon

Set within the elegant grid of Lisbon’s historic downtown, Andaz Lisbon marks a sophisticated new chapter for the Portuguese capital. Positioned in the heart of the Baixa neighbourhood, the hotel places guests at the crossroads of culture, architecture and contemporary city life, with sweeping views across the grand Praça do Comércio and the shimmering waterfront of the Tagus River.

This is a location that captures Lisbon at its most atmospheric, morning light reflecting off tiled façades, the hum of trams weaving through narrow streets, and a rhythm that shifts effortlessly from café culture to vibrant nightlife. From this vantage point, Andaz Lisbon invites guests to experience the city not as visitors, but as participants, immersed in its textures, flavours and stories. The hotel offers 170 thoughtfully designed rooms and suites, each conceived as a reflection of Lisbon’s layered identity. Interiors strike a delicate balance between tradition and modernity, where Portuguese craftsmanship is reinterpreted through a global, design-led lens. Cork accents, stone finishes, mosaic tiles and rich mahogany details are woven into a palette that feels both grounded and refined. The result is an atmosphere of understated luxury spaces that feel tactile, warm and quietly sophisticated.

Large windows frame Lisbon’s distinctive cityscape, from terracotta rooftops to glimpses of the river beyond, while subtle technological integrations ensure a seamless stay. Instead, it complements the hotel’s emphasis on personalised service, an approach that remains central to the Andaz philosophy. In-room touches, such as Byredo bath amenities, add a further layer of indulgence, elevating the everyday into something memorable.

Culinary experiences at Andaz Lisbon are equally considered, offering a contemporary interpretation of Portugal’s rich gastronomic heritage. At Luzzi, the hotel’s rooftop restaurant and terrace, the city unfolds below as guests dine against a backdrop of sky and water. The menu reflects Portugal’s historic role as a global culinary crossroads, blending local ingredients with international influences to create dishes that feel both rooted and exploratory.

At ground level, the Andaz Lounge captures the spirit of Lisbon’s bustling streets, drawing inspiration from the city’s iconic kiosks. Here, traditional Portuguese classics are reimagined with a modern sensibility, served in a space that feels lively, social and effortlessly stylish. It is a setting designed for both casual encounters and lingering conversations, echoing the convivial nature of Lisbon itself.

Wellness is approached with the same attention to detail. A state-of-the-art fitness centre, equipped with Technogym facilities, caters to guests seeking balance while travelling, while the forthcoming spa promises a more restorative dimension. Designed as a sanctuary within the city, it will offer treatments and amenities focused on relaxation, renewal and holistic wellbeing. In the meantime, a curated selection of in-room spa services allows guests to unwind in the privacy of their own surroundings.

What truly defines Andaz Lisbon, however, is its sense of place. Every element—from design to dining to service is shaped by an authentic connection to the city. This is luxury not as spectacle, but as experience: a thoughtful, immersive journey into the heart of Lisbon, where contemporary elegance meets the enduring warmth of Portuguese hospitality.

Timeless Luxury & Wellness in the Heart of London

There are luxury hotels and then there are those rare addresses that feel like a complete exhale the moment you step inside. Pan Pacific London belongs firmly in the latter category.

Set between the historic character of the City and the sleek energy of Liverpool Street and just a 45-minute train journey from the Home Counties, it feels like a striking expression of modern luxury. Expansive in scale, yet somehow still intimate in feeling. From the moment I arrived, it didn’t feel like a typical hotel stay, but more like a seamless escape from the city’s hustle and bustle.

Once inside, the atmosphere softens instantly, potted greenery, warm, earthy tones, and a softly illuminated staircase create a grounded, almost meditative welcome. The sense of space is undeniable, with soaring ceilings, vast walls of glass, and a hotel that rises 41 storeys above the city, yet nothing feels overwhelming. Instead, it’s a balance of grandeur and tranquillity, setting the tone for everything that follows.

Once check-in was complete, it was time to head up the staircase to Straits Kitchen, where it was time for Sunday lunch, but this isn’t your traditional Sunday roast it’s a thoughtfully elevated experience, blending Western techniques and Southeast Asian flavours where familiar comforts are reimagined with precision, creativity, and a clear focus on flavour, texture, and detail.

Dining here is an experience to be savoured and began as I perused the menu with a perfectly chilled glass of Taittinger champagne in hand.

The first course arrived, a vibrant composition of heritage tomatoes bursting with natural sweetness, paired with whipped feta that was light, smooth, and delicately creamy. A crisp artichoke shard added texture, while a rojak dressing (sweet, tangy, with a gentle spice) tied everything together effortlessly.

This was followed with Hereford sirloin, cooked to perfection, tender and deeply flavoursome. It arrived alongside golden roast potatoes, a vibrant seasonal salad, and greens that retained just the right bite. The cauliflower cheese (my favourite) was silky, rich, and gently caramelised on top, whilst the Yorkshire pudding struck that elusive balance between crisp and airy.

Normally I shy away from dessert, typically too full after a meal like this, but taking things at a slower pace, sipping chilled glasses of Whispering Angel and really settling into the atmosphere, somehow made just enough room for something light. I’m glad I did, because it was worth it.

A delicate pavlova with a shell so light it shattered at the touch, giving way to a soft, marshmallow-like centre. Topped with apricot compote this was a real indulgence to the tastebuds. . Paired with another glass of Whispering Angel, it was the perfect, unhurried finish to a beautifully indulgent afternoon.

What truly defines the experience, however, is the service. Attentive without intrusive, intuitive without formality, the team moves with an ease that makes everything feel seamless. The atmosphere mirrors this, sophisticated yet relaxed, a space where time stretches comfortably and conversation lingers, where lunch blends into dusk. After lunch, I drifted up to my room, a Deluxe City View Room, offering a quiet cocoon above the city.

The huge bed naturally takes centre stage, dressed in crisp, white linens that look as inviting as they feel. Framed by warm wood panelling and a softly backlit botanical mural, added a subtle touch

of character without overwhelming the space. The lighting is gentle and ambient, casting a golden glow that makes the whole room feel it’s encasing you in something special.

A relaxed curved sofa by the window is perfect for stretching out with a coffee or a glass of the complimentary wine (left in the room) as you stare in awe at the hustle and bustle below knowing you are enclosed in your own little bubble of calm.

Pan Pacific London has clearly taken inspiration from both English and Asian gardens, layering colour, texture, and artistic detail throughout the room to create a sense of quiet elegance. It’s the kind of room you don’t just sleep in, you actually want to spend time in. So it took a bit of effort to drag myself out of the room and make my way to the SENSORY Wellbeing Floor.

In truth, I didn’t really “do” much once I got there, and that was kind of the point. I settled onto one of the loungers by the infinity pool, no rush, no agenda, just that quiet kind of stillness where you find yourself breathing a bit deeper without thinking about it.

The pool itself stretches out towards the glass, and beyond it the city just carries on as usual, completely unaware. As evening set in, London started to light up properly, windows glowing, traffic threading through the streets below, the whole skyline shifting into something more atmospheric.

I remember just lying back, watching it all unfold through the glass. There’s something oddly grounding about being so still while the city keeps moving. I didn’t feel like I needed to be anywhere else or doing anything else. It was one of those rare moments where you just sit in it, take it in, and let the day slow down properly.

After a restful night’s sleep, it was time for breakfast at Straits Kitchen, a true buffet in the best sense of the word. The offering is expansive yet impeccably curated, fresh tropical fruits bursting with flavour, delicate pastries with perfectly laminated layers, and a selection that moves effortlessly between Western classics and vibrant Asian influences. From made-to-order eggs to fragrant, spiceled dishes, every station invites exploration. It’s not just abundant it’s thoughtful, precise, and deeply satisfying.

And then the final element that really rounded off what felt like a genuinely restorative stay was a return to the SENSORY space for a City Detox Facial. It was such a relaxing experience, deeply calming and rejuvenating. The kind of treatment where you can feel the tension slowly ease out of you without even realising it’s happening. I came away with my skin looking noticeably brighter, smoother, and just more refreshed, like my whole face had been reset into a healthy glow.

Pan Pacific London is the kind of luxury that doesn’t need to announce itself. It’s felt in the smallest details, the textures you notice when you slow down, the flavours that linger long after a meal, the atmosphere that gently shifts your pace without you realising. It’s in the way everything is so intuitively looked after, often before you’ve even thought to ask. Nothing feels forced or overdone, just a quiet, assured sense of care that stays with you long after you leave.
