JHS Holds Home Partners’ Orientation for SY ‘25–’26

As part of its commitment to homeschool collaboration, Ateneo de Zamboanga University Junior High School held its Home Partners’ Orientation on June 28, 2025, at the AdZU JHS Lobby, Fr. William H. Kreutz, SJ Campus.
Grade 8
Fr. Roberto M. Boholst, SJ, Principal, welcomed parents and guardians, and introduced the administrative team and newly appointed personnel for the school year. The orientation provided essential information on school programs, services, and policies. Highlights included the revised student handbook, enhanced academic support systems, and new formation programs grounded in Ignatian values.

The event emphasized AdZU JHS’s ongoing partnership with parents in forming competent, compassionate, and well-rounded students.

ZAMBOANGA CITY — RideNow Transport Corporation officially launched its Smart School Shuttle on July 3 in partnership with JMC Motors, introducing a safer and more innovative school transport service for students in Zamboanga City.

‘Aloha, Eagles!’ Lilo and Stitch BTSY theme curtains SY ‘25-’26 The Ateneo de Zamboanga University's Junior High community carried out the Back To School Year (BTSY) program, launching the event with the theme inspiration from the movie Lilo and Stitch and the batch theme. This year’s BTSY programme sticks to the theme of Ohana and Acompañamos, following through a series of openings and introductions led by the Council of Leaders (COL). After an opening introduction by the emcees of the event, Iven Javier and Eloise Bradecina, the event proceeded with a welcoming speech by Fr. Roberto M. Boholst, SJ, Principal of AdZU JHS.

Key representatives from RideNow and Squadron Motors, Inc.—the official distributor of JMC Motors—were present during the milestone event. The Smart Shuttle aims to elevate the quality of school transportation through advanced features focused on safety, reliability, and comfort. To introduce the service to the community, RideNow will hold a roadshow at Ateneo de Zamboanga University – Tumaga Campus: on July 3 (7:00 AM) for Grade School and July 4 (1:00 PM) for Junior High School. Parents and students are invited to view the shuttle and learn how it enhances everyday school commutes. This school year, RideNow is also rolling out two new routes: A1 Route: Cabuluay, Culianan, Mercedes, Boalan, Zambowood, Divisoria, Putik, Guiwan
inserted in, “You are part of the community that belongs with you.”
A2 Route: Camino Nuevo, Canelar Sta. Maria, Pasonanca, Tumaga
The program carried an intermission dance by Danzar Atenista and COL, Parade of Banners for section representation, and an intermission by the ‘Burnout’ band of the student community, gearing up for the reintroduction of faculty and staff.
RideNow continues its mission to provide safe, smart, and dependable transport solutions for the next generation.
BTSY program then ended with closing remarks from Bb. Jessa Supilanas declared with a remark; “A school isn't just a place for growth, but meaningful companionship… May this be a year of walking well and growing deep.” Fatima Aisha Jikilulla
