German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge strengthens American, German bond
U.S. military personnel from the Kaiserslautern Military Community ruck 12 kilometers (7 miles) for a chance to earn the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge at Ramstein Air Base, July 13. The GAFPB is an award presented by the German Armed Forces to members of foreign militaries who successfully complete a series of tests assessing their physical fitness, military skills, and proficiency in various areas.

Kaiserslautern Military Community were given the opportunity to earn the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge at Ramstein Air Base and Breitenwald Training Area, July 10-14.
The German military hosted the largest GAFPB event in Germany, where more than 180 participants took a shot at receiving the badge and participated in a series of eight
events testing the participants’ endurance, strength, accuracy and ability to adapt. “Events like these are the building blocks of building
