MOVE-IN PACKET CONTENTS

Your move-in packet includes your R’card and keys, which provide access to your building and community spaces. The R’card allows entry into your building, hall doors, and various shared resources. UCR CARD
provides entry to your building and shared resources. You will receive three keys: a suite key for the main suite door, a separate bedroom key, and an additional key for shared facilities such as the bike storage area, computer lab, study rooms, and other designated spaces.
DUNDEE
Your electronic key fob will open your bedroom door and common areas you are allowed to access (including entrances, laundry room, music rooms and lounges).
to Take Care of During Welcome Week
Everyone at UCR needs an official UCR Card (R’Card). This card serves as your primary form of identification on campus and is used for a wide range of services. It grants access to your residence hall and dining plan, and can also be used for vending machines, copy services, package pickup at the Resident Services Office (RSO), and more.
If you do not already have your R’Card please visit the Highlander Service Station located next to the UCR Bookstore in the HUB Upper Plaza. Regular hours are Monday-Friday 9a.m. to 4p.m. For R’Card information, visit their website ucrcard.ucr.edu.
PARKING
Generally, First-Year residents are not allowed to bring a car to campus.
However, if you have received an exemption from Transportation Services, the license plate of any vehicle you bring on campus must be linked to your current virtual permit. No physical parking permit will be issued.
MAIL, PACKAGES & YOUR NEW UCR MAILING ADDRESS
All of your packages, as well as regular mail, will be available for pick-up at your RSO. You will receive an email from housinginfo@ucr.edu when you have items to pick up. You will NOT receive an email regarding USPS mail. Please regularly check with the RSO if you are expecting any paper mail from USPS.
To facilitate delivery of your items, you must include your name as it is listed on your UCR student account and your room number.
Please know that during peak delivery times such as Amazon Prime Day, Black Friday and holidays, there could be a delay in receiving mail and packages. Your patience in receiving notifications for packages during these times is needed and appreciated.

All laundry services at UC Riverside are paid for through the WASH-Connect app. The app allows the user to find available machines, pay for washes, and get notified when the laundry is done, all within the secure app. Download the WASH-Connect app to get started.
* Payments on the app can only be made through credit/debit cards. Laundry costs per load are $1.75 to wash and $1.25 to dry.

UCR Bookstore 9am to 4pm (M-F).
Textbook, School Supplies, UCR Gear, and More the UCR Bookstore is available online. Textbooks, supplies, and UCR branded apparel and gifts can be conveniently shipped (free shipping on orders over $75).
CARTS
Carts will be available for check-out. You must leave a personal identification card as collateral. Only one cart per resident with a 30-minute time limit. We are unable to check out carts within 1-hour of the Resident Services Office closing.
BICYCLES AND SCOOTERS
UCR Transportation Services (TAPS) supports an internal bike and scooter registry system and recommends that residents license/register their bikes and scooters. Registration is provided at no cost to all residents. It helps to identify your property in the event your bike is lost, stolen, recovered, or impounded.
Residents in UCR Housing must register their scooters with TAPS to get an approved housing registration sticker allowing the scooter inside campus housing.
