YOUR OPTIONS AT A GLANCE
Beginning on May 6, you will be able to log into your UCR MyHousing portal and choose one of the campus housing options below for the 2026-27 academic year.
1. SAME. You can renew your campus housing lease for the exact same space you occupy now.
2. NEW. You can request to select a different space in North District 2.
3. NO. You can decline campus housing at UCR altogether.
But make your decision before the May 13 deadline!

Can I keep my apartment space during the summer?
YES! To qualify to remain in your apartment for the summer, you must renew your contract for the exact same space for the following academic year, July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027.
Can I stay during the summer if I want to move to a new space?
Sorry, but no. If you are moving to a new space for the next academic year, you must move out when your contract expires on June 30 and move into your newly-selected apartment on RCCD Move In Day, August 15, 2026.
If I submit an application for a different apartment space during the Lease Renewal Program, when will I be notified if I have a space?
You will be given notification in mid May about your opportunity to self-select a roommate(s) and room space from available North District 2 apartment spaces. You will want to act promptly because spaces will be limited and will quickly be claimed by other students. Preferences and space cannot be guaranteed.
I’ve read this brochure, but still have some questions. Where can I get more information?
You will be sent an email regarding in-person information sessions and webinars about the Renewal Program.
Complete details about your options will also be sent via email prior to the start of the Lease Renewal Program. Please read that email carefully. If you still have questions, we highly suggest that you visit us in-person at the Housing Administration Building during business hours, Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 4:00pm.
