All apartments and residents in the Bannockburn Village community.
Large-scale projects being evaluated for Bannockburn Village will impact your apartment beginning this coming summer through the next academic year.
Please read the information below prior to the start of the Lease Renewal Program on February 10.
What is happening in Bannockburn Village, and why?
As Bannockburn Village nears its 60th year in service, many critical building systems are at end of life or in need of attention beyond the reach of daily maintenance. Optimal next steps and related costs are currently being evaluated. Housing must remain nimble enough to respond to decisions that may arise from these evaluations. Therefore, we have made the decision NOT to house students in Bannockburn Village following the expiration of all current contracts on June 30, 2026.
Our goal is to determine how best to address critical issues with the Bannockburn Village facility and ensure it can effectively support current student needs.
How does this affect me?
This summer’s projects will, regrettably, directly impact your apartment.
Due to the nature of the work under consideration, you will NOT be able to remain in your current space nor any other space in Bannockburn Village during the summer or the entire 2026-27 academic year. All options during the Lease Renewal Program do require you to completely vacate yourself and your belongings from your current apartment on your June 30 contract expiration date.

We highly suggest that you visit us in-person at the Housing Administration Building during business hours, Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 4:00pm. You may also contact us at housinginfo@ucr. edu or (951) 827-6350. However, these last two methods are typically highly impacted and response time will be slower.
