Nestled on the outskirts of Pune, The Alcoves stands as a testament to the symbiotic relationship between industry and habitation. This pioneering venture reimagines the concept of housing for industrial workers, weaving together functionality, sustainability, and community.
The Alcoves embodies the ethos of harmonious coexistence, offering a sanctuary amidst the bustle of industrial activity. Here, within the tranquil expanse of Khed Shivapur, workers find respite and rejuvenation after days spent amidst the machinery and production lines.
Our design philosophy is rooted in adaptability and inclusivity, with each residence meticulously crafted to cater to the diverse needs of its inhabitants. From efficient spatial planning to eco-conscious materials, every aspect of The Alcoves is geared towards enhancing quality of life.
Through this endeavor, we aspire not only to provide housing but to foster a sense of belonging and empowerment among the industrious souls who call The Alcoves home.

Project Brief
Site location:- Kasurdi MIDC,Pune,Maharashtra.
Site Area:- 18156.22 sq.m
Large IT, manufacturing, and banking companies are shaping India’s economy, employing a diverse workforce from various socio-economic backgrounds, including migrants. These workplaces foster a new social identity based on shared employment rather than traditional factors like caste or religion. This trend, coupled with modern urban planning concepts, necessitates integrated, mixed-use housing near workplaces.
Concept
The staggered arrangement involves offsetting the positioning of rooms along the length or width of the building, creating alternating alcoves or projections. This design not only enhances the visual interest of the facade but also allows for the incorporation of balconies or terraces, providing outdoor spaces for relaxation and socialization.

Concept
The design concept for the hospital prioritizes functionality, accessibility, and patient comfort. The ground floor, ingeniously utilized as stilt parking and administrative space, optimizes the available land area efficiently. This not only ensures convenient parking for visitors and staff but also streamlines administrative operations for seamless functioning. The first floor, characterized by its generous carpet area, serves as the focal point of patient care and services. Here, ample space is dedicated to patient rooms, treatment areas, and specialized facilities, enhancing the overall patient experience. The innovative layout of the second floor and above, configured in the shape of a plus sign, represents a thoughtful integration of architectural aesthetics and practicality. This unique design maximizes natural light penetration and facilitates cross-ventilation, creating a bright, airy ambiance conducive to healing and recovery. The strategic placement of windows on each floor ensures optimal daylighting and promotes a sense of openness throughout the hospital, fostering a healing environment that prioritizes the well-being of patients and staff alike
