FINDING A VENUE Consider the following when finding a venue. Once you’ve spoken to the venue, make sure to get it in writing.
It might seem ridiculous to start thinking about Adelaide Fringe 2027, but it’s never too early to get started. With venue registrations already underway, major hubs will start looking towards programming. To deliver a strong pitch to your dream venue, we recommend getting started now!

Need help finding a venue? Use Venue Finder to see a complete list of all venues and quickly find the right fit for your event. You can access contact details for venue managers, check capacities and technical specifications, and filter by what is essential to deliver your event.
CONTACTING VENUES It’s not too late to reach out to venues. New venues will continue registering, right up until the festival. So if you haven’t found one that suits what you need - don’t fret!
Venue Finder Don't have a venue yet? Flip the script - opt in to Event Finder during registration and let venues come to you. It's Venue Finder in reverse, putting your event in front of venues looking for a good fit.
Here are some helpful tips when making contact with venues: 1. Contact them through their preferred contact details. Check Venue Finder to see where they’re taking expressions of interest.

September Ready, set, GO! Event registrations will open on our registration platform, AVR. Now is the time to hit the ground and begin registering for Adelaide Fringe 2027.
MEET THE COMMUNITY
17 September 2026
This can be a big task - so we recommend taking your time, exploring the resources in AVR Support Hub, and reaching out if you need a hand.
KNOW YOUR ANGLES A picture’s worth a thousand words! We recommend starting to think about your visual collateral now so you’re ready to go for event registrations. Book a photoshoot, chat to a designer and get some strong imagery now so it can be included in the printed guide. Something nice and eye-catching that captures the essence of your event so audiences will book quick!
MAKING A BUDGET
HOT TIP! Think Like a Reviewer: put yourself in a reviewer's shoes - what would catch your eye enough to want to review this event? Your imagery is often their first impression, so make it count. Some publications won't even publish low-resolution images, so don't lose out on coverage over a blurry photo.
It’s important to keep track of your spending and set achievable goals for your season. Check out our Resource on how to create a budget.

MARKETING TIPS Leverage social media platforms by sharing valuable content and engage with your followers regularly.
The calm before the storm. With just over a month until the festival begins, this is your final stretch to refine, finalise, and prepare. Soon the city will come alive - so use this time to get organised, rest where you can, and get ready for the whirlwind ahead.
Share a photo of your listing in the Fringe Guide and link to your event. Opted into the Flash Sale? Share the assets and jump on the trending posts.
MAKE TIME FOR YOU
Plan for your physical presence in-season - will you have a street team to distribute flyers at suitable locations?
Don't forget to take some time for yourself this month. Check in with how you're doing, and plan a few strategies now so the busyness of the festival doesn't overwhelm you later.
Reach out actively to local media outlets, journalists, and send press releases for interviews using our Media Contact List.
Just a reminder that the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is available to all 2027 participants, should you need it.
ARTISTS PASS PRINT DEADLINE All participants are issued with our Artist Passes. The pass entitles you to 20% off Adelaide Fringe merchandise and entry into FringeWORKS sessions and events. HOW DOES ADELAIDE FRINGE TICKETING WORK?
TICKET TYPE
Adelaide Fringe retains a 4% inside fee on tickets and that contributes to the costs of the ticketing staff, box offices, call centre and ticketing platform, from back-end building to front-end sales. This fee has decreased for the 2027 season so we can put more money back in your pocket. Customers will only pay a Transaction Fee of $4.80 at cart check out for all points of purchase including online, at box offices and through the Adelaide Fringe Call Centre. This fee is one of the most competitive prices in the ticketing landscape.
