THERAPY OFFICE - DAY
CONNOR (25) lays down on a couch. Connor stares straight up at the ceiling. He plays with a television remote in one hand.
Across from Connor sits a mysterious THERAPIST. The Therapist dons white gloves while holding a pen in their hands. A notepad lays on the Therapist's lap.
CONNOR
Thank you for making time.
THERAPIST
Of course. How can I help you?
CONNOR
Where do I even begin? Work has been kicking my back in.
The Therapist jots down notes on the pad. Continuing to write as Connor vents.
CONNOR
Dad just got some bad news from the doctor. Haven't made it to the gym in weeks. Barely made rent. Milk is $4. Check engine light just came on. It's 200 hundred degrees outside. How is it still not football season? And don't get me started on me and my girl.
The Therapist finishes writing notes on the notepad. Connor cracks a smile still staring at the ceiling. He lets out a sigh.
CONNOR
That felt good to get out.
THERAPIST
Of course. I'll always be here.
CONNOR
Thank you. I really needed this.
The Therapist stops writing and puts their pen down. It takes its glasses off and puts them on top of the notepad.
THERAPIST
Well, I don't think I am what you need per se.
Connor grins wipes off of his face. His expression turns to confusion. He sits up from the couch.
CONNOR
What do you mea-
Connor looks at the Therapist across from him. His eyes widen. The Therapist has a television for a head with no expression to bounce off of.
THERAPIST
You probably need therapy. I'm just your favorite comfort show.
Connor stares at the Therapist. The television begins to play a TV show jingle. Connor slowly begins to smile. THE END.
