AUGUST 2025 ISSUE

Dear SST‑Bayshore Families,
I’m thrilled to introduce myself as your child’s art teacher this school year! My name is Mrs. Aileen Leal Adams, and I come to SST‑Bayshore with over 20 years of experience in education. I hold a Master’s degree in Leadership & Administration from Lamar University, a Bachelor’s in Studio Art from TAMU–Corpus Christi, and an Associate’s in Arts from Del Mar College. Art education, to me, is about more than just brush strokes—it’s about helping each student develop their creative voice and confidence. In our classroom, students will explore a variety of media—drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital design—while learning to think critically, collaborate, and discover their expressive potential.
What
to Expect This Year
•Creative exploration: We'll engage with both traditional and contemporary art techniques, fostering both skill and imagination.
•Collaborative projects: Expect opportunities for students to contribute to group works—like murals or themed exhibitions—to build community and confidence.
•Leadership-infused learning: My Master’s background supports an environment where students can take creative risks and lead artistic initiatives.
How We’ll Stay Connected
Open communication is key. You can reach me via:
•Email: aadams@ssttx.org
I’ll also send regular updates through our class newsletter or school communication app—keeping you informed of what your child is creating and learning.
Let’s Partner for Student Creativity
Your involvement is invaluable—questions, ideas, or stories about your child's creativity are always welcome! Whether it’s something they love to draw at home, a favorite color, or a creative project they’re proud of, these details help me support their artistic growth.
Thank you for entrusting me with your child’s creative journey. I can’t wait to get started and to watch our young artists thrive! Warmly,
Mrs. Aileen Leal Adams
