Principal’s Welcome Welcome to Cherrywood ETNS, the newest addition to the rapidly growing community of Cherrywood. It is a great honour to be able to open a school in these wonderful surroundings right beside such a lovely park. The Tully area of Cherrywood provides a rich natural and historical environment, and we intend to immerse ourselves in this environment in providing for the children of this school. The outdoors provides great opportunities for learning... Over the next couple of years, we are going to see massive changes in this area as the community grows around us and we will have a very big role in the defining and developing of it. 01
I am very excited with the adventure ahead of us as we strive to build this school as a centre of excellence.

Core Principles Equality-based All children have equal access to the school and no one religion or worldview is given priority over another within the school. Co-educational All children are encouraged to explore their full range of abilities and are provided with equal opportunities regardless of their gender or identity. Child-centred Our child-centred approach means that we put children at the heart of all policies and practices. We will always involve them in decisionmaking where appropriate. 03
Democratically-run We run schools on a democratic basis, encouraging active participation by parents and students in the daily life of the school whilst positively affirming the professional role of the teachers. Our Ethical Education curriculum ‘Learn Together’ supports children’s moral and spiritual development and teaches children about different belief systems. They also learn about democracy, human rights and stewardship of our environment. This curriculum has been developed over 35 years in Irish primary schools.

Tully’s Logo Our logo and visuals hold a special meaning realting directly back to our ethos and core principles. Our flowing dotted visuals depict birds in flight during what is called “murmuration� many birds flock together to form beautiful flowing shapes in the sky. This is a lot like how the community members in Tully School work together to achieve amazing things. Speaking of the parents, teachers and students of Tully School, they are all represented in our logo as well. The three triangles represent bird flying in formation and they also represent the parent, teacher and student. Together they keep this moving community forward. 07

Active Citizenship Getting parents, teachers and students involved in all facets of Tully School s a huge priority for us. Activism within our community is a vital component of what keeps our school running. We encourage anyone assosiated with the Cherrywood area in any way to lend a hand and make their voices heard. Tully School is made for everyone. Everyone has an important role to play. From building Ikea furniture in our early days to running sports teams and gardening classes, the community takes the education of the next generation very seriously. Cherrywood Community We are right in the middle of all the excitement in Cherrywood as the community around us is growing. Between the Residential, Retail and Parks, the community is thriving. We will be lucky enough to be surrounded by four parks within the Cherrywood community. One of which, Tully Park, is right at the doorstep of the school. ​ Other parks developed in the areas will be: Ticknick Park Beckett Park Lehaunstown Park

Upcoming Events With the new school year comes plenty of new events for not only students but all members of the Cherrywood community. Our Autumn festival officially begins on October 1st, with a range of fun, creative and spooky events for you and your children. Tully School prides itself on being the epicentre of 100s of communitywide events every year. We offer safe, reliable and fun event management for the whole family. Community involvement is at the centre of every event and festival we plan and this October is no exception, with events such as the Conker Collection, Hallowe’en Party.
