Communications Toolkit: Pennsylvania Science, Technology & Engineering, Environmental Literacy & Sustainability (STEELS) Standards
The Pennsylvania Department of Education recently released a STEELS Communications Toolkit, which provides ready-to-use resources about the vision for and implementation of Pennsylvania’s STEELS Standards. The toolkit includes audience-specific resources for administrators, teachers, and parents, as well as topic-specific resources such as assessments and high-quality instructional programs. Two Resources Related to Artificial Intelligence and Education
AI Summer Sandbox for STEM Educators Throughout the month of July, WestEd is hosting an AI Summer Sandbox series, which is a weekly professional learning opportunity in which STEM educators have an opportunity to deepen understanding of how to use AI to enhance classroom experiences. Themes include mathematical practices, student discourse, relevance and engagement, and innovation and agency. Read more and register for the free series here. Empowering Learners for the Age of AI With support from Code.org, the European Commission and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) drafted an AI Literacy Framework that is intended to create a shared understanding of AI literacy and offer considerations for how AI might impact teaching and learning.
