WINGS NEWSLETTER Vol 18, Term Three, Week Four, 19 August 2022
Dear Parents and Friends of Sunderland, Auckland has been hit by another storm over the past couple of days, with high winds and heavy rain making any activities outside almost impossible. The students have done a wonderful job of adjusting to the inside. This heavy rain has also made driving even more difficult; this is including drop-off and pickup at Sunderland. So I thought I would take some time in this week’s newsletter to go over our expectation of parents with regards to these processes again. Let’s start with drop off. We expect every child to be onsite by 8.15am. Over the past couple of weeks, there have been many children not making our 8.30am start of school cutoff, which then requires a late note from reception. I do ask parents please respect the 8.15am expectation. We encourage primary parents to use gate 1, and the primary asphalt to drop off your child and respect the 5km/hr driving limit.
