Prayer Letter from Selina

Tokyo. July / 2023 Selina Lin

Hello everyone. The activities in churches and OMF gradually returned to normal as the panic from the pandemic subsided. At the end of June, OMF held a field conference. This is the first time all OMF missionaries in Japan gathered since the pandemic. We held a fiveday rally in Hokkaido with more than 200 missionaries attending. Thankful for the opportunity to get to know many new missionaries whom we have never met, we had very good fellowship. On them, I can vaguely see myself as I first stepped into the field, and I am eager to share with them what I had learned. Of course, God allowed us each to grow in different ways and there is no shortcut, I can only cheer them on beside them. I also look for opportunities during the Conference to chat with those who came before me to learn and find encouragement from them. In addition to the OMF Japanese mission field, I also serve with New Horizons. These are places where there is no OMF Office, like France, Brazil, etc. When people there wish to serve with OMF in Asia, they must apply through New Horizon. I mainly care for the short-term and long-term female missionaries from there. In July, a New Horizon gathering was also held in Japan. Due to the small number, we held it in the OMF Chiba office building.
